Hi everyone! So first of all...I apologize for the extreme lateness for this. Just went through the busiest semester of my life. Up until last week, I haven't touched Sony Vegas, an animation thread, or a game in months, but I'm back now! For a while :) Anyway, in addition to the Secret Santa event, we have a stash of returning and new MBRQs just in for the holidays! Some important notices: All winter holiday-themed quests will last until January 15th, 2017! General quests will last until March 20th, 2017. If you did one of the returning quests from last season, you may now feel free to do it again, but differently this time. Remember, you will be judged by fellow members of the community. Animations Holiday Heart Objective : Create any kind of skit based on a winter holiday theme! Secret Santa Event entries may be included. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Maplemation PRESENTS Objective: Create a skit where a character opens a holiday present. It's not what he/she expects it to be though. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Furious Frosty Objective : Animate an epic snowball fight scene. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Tis the Drunken Season Objective: It's winter break, you and your friends have one too many egg nogs at the big Maplemation party. Show us the aftermath with an epic fight against your drunk companion or something else! Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Resolutions Objective: Create a skit with a story that involves the start or continuation of a new journey with the coming new year! Deadline: January 15th, 2017 The Force Awakens Objective: In celebration of Rogue One, create a Star Wars themed animation! Deadline: March 20th, 2017 The Future Objective: Create a skit taking place in the near or distant future of Maple/MM society. Can include sci-fi or apocalyptic elements! Be creative! Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Ayylmao Objective: Create any kind of comedy skit. Must actually deliver some good laughs. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Athlete Face-off Objective: Create a skit based on a race or sports challenge. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 YOU SUCK, COCK Objective: 2017 is the year of the rooster. Fight a giant chicken. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Animated Short Objective: Create a short with an emotional story, preferably one with a powerful theme. A beautiful example here. FOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDD Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Sprites How the Sprites Stole Christmas Objective: Create a NPC based on a holiday-themed fictional character, such as the Grinch. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 What's in the box, what's in the box, what's in the booooxxxxx Objective: Design a really extravagantly wrapped Christmas present, with huge ribbons, bow ties, lights, and all sorts of junk. Be creative! Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Chilling Out Objective : Create an original mob or mob boss that possesses snow or ice elemental traits. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Saddle up! Objective: Create a unique snow sled or choose a mob that has potential to be a mount and design a unique saddle for it. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Rogue One Objective: Create a npc or character based on the new Star Wars movie. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Sci-Fi Savvy Objective: Create a futuristic sci-fi themed tool or weapon. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Old Timer Objective: Create a tool or weapon that appears to exist from the mid-20th century or older. Hell, it could even be ancient pre-historic status lol Deadline: March 20th, 2017 TRUMPETS! Objective: (Doesn't have to be orange tho lmao) Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Anime NPC Objective: Take any anime character and sprite him/her/it into a MapleStory NPC. Must be an original sprite. Edited Bannedstory characters will NOT be accepted! Game NPC Objective: While at it, let's add games too! Take any character from a favorite game of yours and sprite him into a MapleStory NPC. Must be an original sprite. Edited Bannedstory characters will NOT be accepted! Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Art Let it Snow Objective: Create a portrait or painting with a winter snow or ice theme. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 The Presence of Presents Objective : Draw your character (or someone else's) opening gifts this season, or giving someone else a gift! Can included Secret Santa Event entry. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 HO HO HO MOTHA FU- Objective : Draw Santa giving out gifts or a landscape painting of him on his epic expedition! Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Smile this Season Objective : Create a portrait of a character dressed in winter-themed attire. Make it exquisite! Deadline: January 15th, 2017 A New Year Objective: Create a new year themed drawing or painting. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Year of the Rooster Objective: Draw the most epic chicken the world has ever seen. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Nom Nom Nom Objective: Draw a character DEVOURING (or just casually eating/drinking) his or her favorite food in the winter. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 Maps MM Town Winter Celebration Objective : Create what you think a MM town would look like on Christmas day or any other winter holiday. Including characters is optional! Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Silent Night, Deadly Night Objective : Create a map that would be a great stage for a winter-themed boss in any game or movie. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Snowing Serenity Objective : Create a peaceful winter-themed map. Something beautiful and/or surreal. Deadline: January 15th, 2017 Prepare for Battle Objective: Build a military fortress. This is war. Deadline: March 20th, 2017 The Future Objective: Create a futuristic map. Go for it man! You don't need my permission; just make the animation, post it in a thread with the proper MBR format (challenge, voting poll, etc.) and you're good to go! Feel free to ask any AT leader or staffie for help :)
Is this to be about a community's evolution, like MM or GMS's community, or can it be about the future of the game itself?
It can be either. Basically, any animation that takes place in a futuristic world or setting works (Y)
