Totally not inspired by Samurai Champloo. I tried to put a little story behind it for a change. Ran out of steam at the end, so sorry if the ending feels cheap.

That little sword fight scene was really nice. Good job on that.

If anything, you could beef up the atmosphere a bit, but it's pretty good as-is.

can i just say the transition from alert to walk at 0:16 was absolutely god tier
actually, they all are. thanks for that cheers
edit again but, wow this is going to be a first but im actually very impressed with the poses youve selected for each swing, some are new sequences and some are the basic ones but its very refreshing to see them used for their actual purpose with beautifully articulated simple lines that really add to the animation.
wow, this is actually pretty masterful

i feel the only gripe i have is and ignore me if im wrong but, a change of clothing to differentiate the guys would be a nice subtle touch. i had abit of trouble distinguishing and now after seeing the anim and typing this up who said what and to who they said it to, but maybe in the macro it was a recent event it makes sense.

and as aidan said, maybe some slight rigs here and there in the close ups of the face wouldve been a reaaaaaaaaaly nice touch as well.

I would have but flash was being weird when I zoomed in too close. Incidentally here's a swf showing what I mean.

Hoped the dialogue wouldn't be an issue, but thanks Lynus. I'll try to make it less awkward in the future.

If you were making those light effects by blurring in Flash, you'll get issues with the camera getting close to them.

You could make it in Photoshop or Fireworks though, and re-import it as a flattened bitmap. That should fix it.
