Maplemation Terms of Service and Rules

1. Content that violates United States law is forbidden.
This includes (but is not limited to) pirated software and other content.

2. NSFW artwork is only allowed if spoiled with a disclaimer.
Don't just put porn. If you created something that you believe isn't good to show someone below 18, might want to give us a heads up.

3. Please keep outside drama/jokes outside the forum and Discord server.
If you and somebody else on the forum don't get along, don't make a thread about it on the forum or make a post about it somewhere. We don't want it here. If it happened off the forum or out of the Discord. It stays there.

4. Be kind and polite towards others.
Don't call others names, bash on what they do or how they are or put them down in any way. When it comes to criticism, follow this guide to CNC written by Warren. In general, don't be rude to people. We expect everyone to treat other people with the same kindness and respect that they would like people to give to them.

5. Do not respond to threads that are older than 30 days.
This does not apply to sticky threads, MBR profiles, tutorials, or any other forums where the post-rate is relatively slow.

6. Backseat moderating does not help.
Please report posts that you see violate the rules aforementioned and afterwards. Do not respond to them. Do not make false or joke reports. Furthermore, if you have something you'd like for the staff to do or consider. Just try suggesting your idea or respectfully informing us of your concerns.
Be patient with us.

7. Do not make secondary accounts.
If we find out you have two accounts, both accounts will be permanently banned. So please don't do it. This doesn't apply to people who don't remember their email or don't have access to their account for some reason. If you're just trying to avoid a ban or pretend to be someone else, you will be banned.

8. No third-party advertising.
This is regarding product placement and promoting unaffiliated websites. If it doesn't have anything to do with Maplemation or your own creative work, don't bring it up here. No one cares about your fantasy football team in the Animation Section. Basically, if you're trying to promote something that doesn't exactly relate to or support Maplemation, don't bring it up here.

9. Account deletion.
As of 2019, requests for account deletion can be submitted to an Administrator through private messaging. However, you will no longer be able to create new accounts or use our services once approved. Newly created accounts that breach these conditions will be deleted upon detection.

One final thing: The staff are obligated to do what THEY think is best for the forum. We are not obligated to care about what everyone has to say and do anything that people ask of us. However, it does helps us listen to people and do things for them if they are nice to us. We aren't robots. Don't command us. If a member treats us in a way that we view as rude or disrespectful, we are under no obligation to listen to or do anything for them. We value your opinion and your respect if you value the staff's.
