So yea... my name's Nikkei and I've actually silently been around for a while now. That being said, I don't expect many of you to know me, but if you do, that's awesome :) But for those who don't, i'm a 23-year old college student majoring in Game Art, that has been writing a couple of maple series' over the years that I intend to either animate, or take with me into my professional career (hopefully in the form of indie game art/development as my own IPs). But as for the maple scene, although I've been around for quite a while, I haven't posted much publicly. But I am close friends with alot of major veteran/retired animators like Aidan (ThatGreenAlien), Mali, Jaws, Derek (Spritefan2), Cynarchy, Gabbybits, etc. (quite a few of us had the chance to meet in person for Jaws's wedding. it was a fantastic weekend :) ) but anyways, ironically, the fall of Bannedstory 4 recently has brought me back here. One of the things I've always regretted was not being more active in this community when I was younger/in high school. part of it was lack of time, but also lack of confidence in my skills. it was my first collab and my first fighting animation ever at the start of college that gave me the confidence boost to push me forward a bit (it's a collab I did with Jaws and a few others, hence where some of you may recognize me from haha). Since college is busy (especially in a major like Game Art/development) I planned to use some time from my summer working toward one of my series' but.. well... recent events happened. That being said, I'm here to reach out to the community I always admired quietly and, hopefully with the right support and talking to the right people, I'd like to help either bring bannedstory back or.. maybe even create a new resource *like* bannedstory. The latter is much easier said than done, but.. that's what I'd like to do :) Sorry that was long ,but thanks for reading also, here's the collab I mentioned:
