So I was designated as the 3rd host of an upcoming destiny podcast called "The Traveler Radio" and my boy aka the founder wanted to pay me for a logo and some visuals for the stream so its not just black screen I'm only showing the logos creation process which ill admit really isn't impressive at all, but this is really my first time doing this outside of one of my high school graphic design classes. And the final product that they ended up loving. Could of done substantially better and ill be sure to upgrade the graphics along the way. The over all design was based off of an iconic ship in the destiny series know as the arcadia class jump ship which is the first ship you get
I'd say if they loved it you did your job well, as your not making it for you, you're making it for them right :D Good job! I personally think you did a good job :)
What is their podcast about? It definitely looks cool but in my opinion, as a logo there's too much detail going on, what you should look for is simple shapes. Maybe the logo is perfect for its target audience and obviously they know It's a spaceship from destiny so they could probably draw and remember it but, if you were to show this to someone who isn't familiar with that it's impossible for it to be memorable, It's just a spaceship with no context clues, could be star wars, could be star strek, and even then, these are two monstrous brands who do have their iconic ships; I just don't think destiny is quite up there yet.
Well this is aimed for the destiny people along with the "Traveler" which is pretty much the flagship icon of destiny. Also the podcast is just giving opinions about destinys new sequal and when the beta comes out and we get a feel for it one host will talk about lore, the other will talk about PvE and the situation its currently in and ill do the same for Player Vs Player, we basically wish to keep every One who tunes in up to date with basically the "Meta" for destiny 2 once it comes out and how to optimize for certain occasions and with destiny 2 having a vast array of more things to do we have a lot more to talk about Basically its going to be a biweekly podcast talking about current situations of the game and about 90% of its aspects and how you can well optimize your builds and what guns you should be on the prowl for as well as which perks would complete a "God roll" as its called which is a perfect gun with perks that perfectly suit it. As for the whole "too much detail" deal this final draft was basically the balance between minimal and accuracy as the Arcadia class ships exterior is packed with tubing and wires and the like and this as the closest to "minimal" I was going to get Ill make sure to reduce detailing like this if it turns out as clunky as is now in future references
