My Notes: I'm happy Alex accepted my challenge to fight since I am a slow animator and this was a good challenge

Alex Notes: I regret nothing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Voting for Alex.

Okay, In all seriousness, Hyper. Add your eyes and mouth and all next time. You keep making this error. Other than that, I like your anim. Also consider adding stretching and tweening to your mouths to make it look more polished too.

    Alex.

I died in laughter. Your textbox felt a little lazy to me imo but meh.

    Great job, you two!

Both were hilarious! One just casually leaving while you talk (I CAN RELATE DEEPLY) and the other with that heartfelt poem. Great job you two, can't wait to see more! ^^

+ Introduction was well animated and interesting, seeing that you put extra effort in both characters movement was really nice.
+ Fight in general was good, your character turning sprite was done well.
-/+ Background works, but at the same time not really.
    - The head expanded way too much. Were you trying to make his head look bigger because he was bending towards us?

    + The beginning was funny
+ The finisher attack was well put together.
    - The text was way too big and plain.
    - "I like trains" flashback gave nothing really, or am I missing something?

In general Alex used mostly basic poses with the highlight of animation being the finisher.
Hyperblue used interesting perspectives, animation was interesting from beginning to end, so my vote goes to HyperBlue.

    Good job, boys!

People who say they enjoy trains must die? Don't really get the train reference either. Overall, great animation guys!

I did find enjoyment out of Hyper's animation. Aside from that blank face, some 2d to 2.5d was nice to look at, albeit a bit off. I can’t tell if the misalignment in some places was off, but it wasn’t really pleasing to look at. I did like the finishing blow a bit, with that whole super move screen show, and slow motion dashes, but the execution for those dashes and walk away, I think, could have been better.

I laughed more than I should have at Alex’s poem. As for the animation, I li
ked it. The spear toss to chains was neat to see, along with the small motions made to the body with the chains was a nice touch. The final slash seemed alright. Some nitpicks I do have is the text being a bit too basic for my tastes and the chains magically being in front the floor for a few frames. I won’t dwell too much into the whole train thing, but yeah, it’s just a bit weird, but a neat reference to Hyper’s other animation.

I prefer Alex’s animation. It stood out for me too, and for the most part, was pretty solid. Nevertheless, good job you two!

Voting alex, I laughed more at his poem, and his animation was more entertaining or me. Hypers' seemed way more meme-ish, but his whole show was too confusing to understand on the first play-through.

@Noziki @Kat Are you guys fucking kidding me

    HYPER:

First of all, that horse head png is just like something I would do.
Reminded me of when I actually still animated maple.

    I liked your finisher better.
HOWEVER, Alex's execution is a lot more clean. I love what you're trying to do. Your rigging is quite charming. I'm a fan of how snappy and
quick it is. Haven't seen much rigging look like it. I also like how you implemented a bit of depth with the grass by having it above the character layers. Pretty cool.
NOW, my biggest issue was the no face thing, but I won't touch on that because everyone else has.

    Keep it up, buckaroo!

    ALEX:

I need to MBR you sometime.
Your animation gave me a good laugh, although I heard that poem months before seeing this video.
But that's the point of jokes right? To be retold in different ways.
I didn't quite expect it, which is probably why I laughed like I did, nice touch!

For future reference when someone is spinning in the air after being hit or thrown such as
hyper being thrown at 0:28, i noticed that it's triangular. Always remember to arc your jumps. It always looks better and
adds a sense of realism to your fights (although i get maple animations aren't supposed to be super realistic). Create
the up and down motion of the jump/ hit in one symbol then tween that graphic right and left and you get the effect
of a curved motion rather than a really angular one.

ALSO, this is may be a nitpick, but I usually make the spin one symbol, the up and down one symbol out of the spin, THEN use that for the actual animation.
I put the spin into one symbol so that the character doesn't have the 100 then -100 ease on their spin as well with that of the jump..
to me it looks weird for the spinning to almost come to a complete stop then to speed up and commence again unless the weight of the object
being thrown isn't proportionate such as a partially filled water bottle or things of the sort. I guess maple characters can work that way tho since they're
basically bobble heads. You're getting better with every animation. Good stuff, keep it up.

    COOL MBR, YA'LL!
THANK YOU FOR BOTH FINISHING YOUR STUFF.
A FOR EFFORT FOR THE BOTH OF YOU.
