Hey everyone, I'm back! Last time I posted a collab I did with another animator with a similar name to me (The Dex Collab), now I'm here to introduce my next sprite animation with Dexter fighting against the heart breaker himself, Scott Pilgrim!!
The beginning part with the overworld map, I made that myself with inspiration of Scott Pilgrim The Game's overworld map :)

BTW there's IS a story to this, but it won't come into full fruition until the next TricksterStory animation, so until that comes out, enjoy this! OH, and feedback is very much appreciated!

  2. Try adding variety to your punch audio
    it gets repetitive.

I do quite like this animation though! It's very light hearted and not super heavy with effects
and AE and all that other jazz to make it look like 4k high definition BS. It's pretty stripped down of a lot of what
makes maple animations lose their appeal (in my eyes). There's usually too much gloss.

    However, your animation isn't perfect.
Your camming is stagnant. Make that vcam shake when there's impact. Make it move more.
Don't just have a constant wide shot that occasionally moves around when a character does. Animate the camera
like it's its own character. Give it some life.

Also, be sure to keep your action dynamic. Yours is alright, but isn't anything new.
That doesn't discredit the animation, it's just more or less what we've seen before.

    LASTLY,
moments like the one where you get uppercutted and scott just stands there cheesing with his fist up are awkward.
Make sure to keep your characters moving. Don't just let them freeze for a while as the other character continues to move.

Just brush up on some of the basics and you'll your work will continue to get better.
I'm looking forward to future stuff out of you, good sir.
