What is your best work? Post as many animations as you need.

Why do you want this position?

I want to inspire all of the GIF animators to exceed the boundaries of all of their GIF animating programs the same way I did when I first started using GIMP.

What makes you worthy to be in this position?

I've started animating GIFs since I joined the community in the year 2017. I also want to inspire some GIF animators in the community.

What are your goals in this team?

    • Hopefully improve my animation skills and my comic skills in the future.
    • Inspire some new GIF animators.
    • Connect with fellow GIF animators.

Do you have anything else to add?

Stay tuned for the Dark Force revisions and new chapters. And be on the lookout for another comic called Cherry Banana Mint.

The animations you provided do not meet the animation team's expectations/skill level. Specifically, your animations lack the basics such as flow, creativity, sliding, alignment and so on. I would advise to study and analyze animators' animations as well as creating more animations.

Almost any animation, to be honest, GIF or not. Study how people can move their characters without looking as stiff as a rock. What Tom mentioned more or less summed up the main problem with these animations. Basic concepts such as alignments, sliding, and so forth aren't really here, at all. Characters need to follow a certain law of physics. For instance, a character shouldn't be so static in the air for no reason, or move and jump in the air at a set speed with no acceleration or deceleration. I don't think the program is the problem at this point, it's comprehending what to do to make your characters more life-like.

Moving on to animations, or more specifically, the main problem is, well, what was state above. The characters are far too static, in addition, I remember clearly stating how alignment was important, but I see that’s still an issue as of now. Try to focus on bare basics. You got the walk down, may want
to increase the frame speed though. There’s also a lack of filters like blurs and whatnot to smoothen or compensate for the lower frame rate. That’s all I can really say to be honest without sounding like a broken record, since I recall writing a long paragraph about your animation progress, about 2 months ago.

One more thing, and this may be a personal thing now. You kind of come off as an attention hoarder. I’ve noticed on Discord Maplemation that you ask if people saw your status, read your comic, unnecessarily add remarks about yourself that no one really was interested to begin with, putting in addition notes telling people to stay tuned for a comic rather than your own personal notes of sorts, you get the idea. Now, there’s nothing wrong with having that passion, and it’s a spectacular trait to have, just, I think you should tone it down a tad bit. Of course people want their work to be recognized, don’t get me wrong, but in the end, it’s their choice if they want to look at it or not, not yours. You can take and/or leave whatever I said here, call me out if I said anything overly contradictory, etcetera. After all, I’m just putting my thoughts out there. Not trying to put you down in any way. Good luck in your future animations and I hope to see you around!

Before you even want to apply to a team, you should at the very least master the BASICS of animation...

I have seen your improvements in both, animation and comics and i must say... you're improving very, very little.

First of all i'd greatly suggest you to get some actually decent programs, discard that gimp or MS paint or whatever old stuff you have, go download more advanced software like Adobe Flash, fireworks, or even sony vegas for animations, you can use photoshop or even Paint.net (which is free) and your work will improve probably a hundredfold, plus the fact that animating or making comics will take five times less work in those programs. Hell, if you don't have the money, just download it for free.

Second, i don't think you're really reading the CnC people are providing you, most of the time you just make really slight changes and miss the point, and other times you just answer with another question that is either pretty obvious or unrelated and forget the answer they originally gave you.

Also i apologize if this sounds a bit like harrassment or if my comment is unnecesary in this thread, but it just feels like to me that your ''reason to apply'' is not even genuine. It feels like you just tried to copy what other people who have applied for teams have typed in, rather than giving your own answer. You don't even animate that often, so i don't see how you would ''inspire'' others when your content is barely eight second sloppy animations. Most of the things you writed just feels like you just wanted to fill the empty space, and in the question ''Why do you think you are worthy of this position?'' Does not have a valid answer for obvious reasons.
