    Hi there!

    Im FancyAutomaton, or just Fancy.

After a lot of deliberation, contemplation, and panic attacks (along with a friend of mine who is also on here telling me to), I've decided to start animating. He highly recommended joining due to the community being great and the resources super duper helping out.

I hope to at bare minimum do well enough to make enjoyable animations (or animations that people who are really good at this stuff don't find to much to point out? Maybe? Nah, its probably gonna be a hot garbage fire the first time I do anything).

Anyways, thanks for reading this (hot garbage fire) introduction, hope to see you all around!

Fancy to meet you! Get it? That was good, haha.

I am also trying to get into animation, so I hope we can do some MBR and see how we both do! See you around!

Welcome to Maplematio! I’m sure you’re be better than the “bare minimum” standards of sorts. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about anything, and enjoy your stay!

Also I want to give the guy who recommended you here an imaginary medal. c:

    Oh, thanks! Seriously!

I'm taking some time to do some tutorials and get a grasp on flash before going to do animations at all.

Will take some time, but practice makes perfect eh?

(Its still gonna be hot garbage fire)

Identifying and pointing out mistakes will help you learn from them and solidify your understanding of the animation process. The more mistakes you make and learn from the faster you improve, it only gets harder from there. A tip for the long run is avoid feeling personally attacked if/when you receive blunt or "harsh" criticism from someone as it is merely an evaluation of your work and suggestions to better your execution of things, deflecting said criticism will only be detrimental to your progress.

    Enjoy your stay.

I do understand the criticism stuff. I honestly enjoy criticism (when constructive and not just for the sake of pointing out flaws).

I mostly said that as a set up to a joke about my first few animation likely being hot garbage fire. I don't honestly expect to make good animations to be fair. I totally expect to be utter crap for quite a while.
