So you may know recently I've managed to join game team and I now strive to build something nice for the forums along side the nice based fighting game they're creating at the moment, so ive opted to stray away from fighting to another concept that might catch everyone's attention in the form of a story based game, which I fully intend to do my best on and to put forth only my greatest efforts while the rest of game team pours their heart into the mugen game, I dont mind the heavy lifting, but do not forget they will have their part in this game, plus I'm using AS3 and I'm pretty much the only one with semi-decent experience, doesnt mean the rest cannot help, this is considered a team project as well. Now as for the purpose of this post. mainly I want, as the title explains, community input as to: What story would you like to see expanded on? Options can range from fan favorites as to the origins of old collab enemies or faction wars or color wars or such, or another option other then legacy based stories would be a minor post in the future, where I take stories that you, the community, have submitted and will have the same community chose from the bunch to have expanded on, of course I'll involve the author of the chosen story be heavily involved in scripting, world building, characterization and many other vital aspects tbat must be fleshed out in order to being forth the best tale to tell through an interactive expirience. How this Will work is you add me on discord (G o n e#8397, always available, except during Saturday's and Thursdays) and you will send me anything close to either the full story or a nutshell/thesis of the story you wish to submit. Then submissions will be placed along side other requested legacy storylines and ofcourse I'll throw in my own storyline concept in the mix as Well The deadline for story submissions is a week from the post date of this thread and theres no limit to the amount of people that can submit, for now I'd appericiate that we generate some storylines that involve old Maplemation events such as collabs or even faction wars or big mbrs or the like, anything you'd want and I'll do my best to come into contact with who ever was involved/hosting the suggested events to see if they'd be interested in helping in the near future, again I'd like to thank everyone in advanxe for their wonderful submissions and help with this big part of the project!
I think what everyone will like is a story theme related to MM Itself. Everyone wants to see their characters, but more importantly, the community they're part of having a spotlight every now and then. So perhaaps for the general story theme it should involve MM. Perhaaps the community decided to host a great tournament where the winner gets one wish, or perhaaps something big is going on and every character decides to do something about it. Maybe we could even create a special supervillian for the entire game, and most characters will try to defeat it, and some others will try to take the other side. Things like that, something that gives all characters in general a reason to fight. As you said, the factions could take a place in the story, or the old famous collabs could take revelancy.
And thats where my personal storyline idea fits into But 5 days from now is when the community will decide. Edit: if I don't get any subs then it's my story
