Inspired by Utatane Piko from VOCALOID
(sorry for the enlarged preview, I just grabbed the preview image I made for it in the past cause I was too lazy to render it from the wz for a normal size)

Your hairs need alot of work and later on I'll edit what you can do to better them, but as of right now I'm on mobile and in a city bus, but once I'm home I'll give proper cnc but your faces seem to be alright.

    edit: I'm home, bitches.

As for the promised cnc, here is it:

When it comes to maple styled hair, its one of the more retarded things I can think of and leaves spriters to do somethings similar yet easier, as for why you never see a "perfect" replica of the style aside from people who actually worked and sprite for nexon, and even they their style has cleaned up over the years and has begun to make more sense as it looks, but enough of that jibber jabber and lets get to what your hair needs

Now your hair falls under a style which is minimalist in its essence and can very much work very well but what you lack is the needed knowledge of both dept and detail aside from the obvious use of the brush tool and a need for better color selection, which will pay off dearly in the long run if you are to learn more of this stuff. but for right now i will tell you that your hair colors are very low in contrast and make it seem like a blob of color rather then anything specific, as there do exist similar hairs with the minimalist shading but use this to their advantage to use the least amount of shades as possible in order to make things pop out, give it a shape and define certain aspects that define the hair as "hair" and not just a clay model of whats supposed to be hair

you of course have a very long way to go with this type of stuff and I\m sorry I cant really elaborate further since I tend to have issues with spriting hair from scratch myself when it comes down to it, but I've managed some things in the past and would justify these following tips as something you should look into if you want to better the way your hair and over all sprites look.

    1) use the pencil tool, most veteran spriters tend to see that every pixel matters and use the pencil tool to place each pixel in place with the upmost thought and care because it can take just one pixel to throw an entire piece off to the eyes

    2) Chose your colors first and make sure they work. many times you want to hue shift your colors a certain direction towards another for the shades to look colorful, giving them a vibrant feel to the eye and allowing for shades to be more dynamic in intensities. In a nuttshell, it just looks better over all. and make sure the contrast between colors suits your need. as I explained in the first bit, contrast is a big part of defining a material as well as the textures you give them

    3) It never hurts to return to the basics and to give time to some easier things, so that you can have an easier time when you attempt to grasp the concepts of shaping, dept and other essentials needed to give your sprites a better look over all, you can of course continue as is and learn these concepts but it'll be much harder, but can be done.

well I certainly know im novice at this, and all of this is a huge help! I appreciate the CnC and I will take majority of it with good heart and try to do better~
I'm the only one making the custom content for the server I run atm, so unfortunately I'll have to keep up with my bad looking hair, but it will get better overtime, especially with helpful things like this <3
