He is extremly fast and he can use smoke (he can disepear in smoke, create a smoke clone, etc...). Azu is always tired of everything, he don't like fight just for fight, he prefers to fight when his mission requires him. Azu have a special abilities called Lucifer Eyes :This ability immobilizes during 5 the Spoiler: Azu (Backstory) This is his backstory: Azu was born in a city with very low traffic because of the danger it represents (a bit like the city of the shooting star in HxH). His family is a professional thief's family: each generation must have a vocation for theft. His parents committed many robberies and murders during their lives, some of which had a global influence. When Azu and his brother turned 3, they were able to start flying training and learn some murder techniques. When they were 7 years old, they started to develop a special technique (Lucifer's eyes for Azu). One day, Azu's parents had to go and steal a precious stone of inestimable value. Unfortunately, they were trapped and killed by the police. At that time, Azu and his brother were both 12 years old. When Azu heard the news, he directly fled his parents' house and continued to commit robberies alone. As for his brother, we don't know where he is. The more Azu continued his thefts and murders, the more Azu became like his father: without empathy and emotion. At the age of 16, he arrived in a city where he continued his routine. When suddenly, while Azu was walking in the street, a radioactive explosion from a nuclear power plant engulfed the city in a matter of seconds and killed several people. Azu did not die from it, on the contrary, it made him stronger: this explosion changed the composition of Azu's body. His skin, bones, muscles are now 100% smoke, which allows him to disappear into smoke and reappear as a human. Of course, Azu didn't get over it right away, he was dizzy for a while. + Great fundamentals + Your combos and attacks were fluid and snappy, everything moved smooth without jank + Your choreography was great with a good finish + Pacing, the hardest thing for an animation to nail, was done almost perfectly - everything was fast paced and nothing lasted too long and there wasn't a dull moment + Your understanding of physics was well done, hits had the right impact, sandbag felt like a bag of sand + Camera work complemented this with good shakes for impacts and decent focus - While your understanding of physics is good, the sandbag could have rotated a bit since it was kind of stagnant (barely rotated, even slightly, when in the air) - Camera work was a little too spaced out throughout all of it with little variety, but it was good in general so this is just a minor nit-pick - Presentation is mixed cause while I liked the effects and the way you used them, but lack of sound was unfortunate since we can't gauge it - The biggest issue is the intro cut, the first second, cause the rig wasn't well executed, it was simple with 2 pieces (stagnant head and body) and moved awkwardly when standing up and dashing - The perspective of the intro was inconsistent, here's a comparison between what you did and what would work better The intro was a shame because the whole animation is the exact opposite and gave me the wrong impression. Impressive stuff, your fundamentals are great, I'd like to see you improve the areas of physics and spice up your camera work a little on top of adding some sounds to your animation, but I'd also like to see some more ventures into more advanced stuff that you started in the intro with rigging, perspectives and some more dynamic stuff. Basically, we really dig what you have. I really hope your next project is something beyond a sandbag combo bash and something with a little more ambition in there - cause this is a very solid start. With all that being said... Your rank is Gold | 131 I personally cannot wait to see what you do from here.
idk if i'm allowed to post my own CnC here but this bothered me enough i'm doing it anyway, your animation is solid and you've got some really great skill, but this choice left me a little confused, you could've cut it into an X shape and it would've made so much more sense. Spoiler
