Kayas: The text went by way too fast. This was made worse by the pacing of the beginning being a bit too fast for anyone to process a lot of what was going on. I think Mes' idea about including a pop-up bubble showing Natasha or maybe putting an ear piece of Nina that glowed red whenever Natasha spoke would've made it more obvious there was someone else speaking as opposed to just text. The actual fight itself was good. The quick pacing was nice and I enjoyed the effort you put into showing Nina deflecting all of the feather projectiles. The constant movement in the fight from both the character and the camera made it a lot more interesting to look at. I think when the bird swooped into the sky and dropped back down there should have been camera shake. If there was some, it should have been more noticeable, especially on the drop down. The climax was solid, more-or-less. It wasn't too good or too bad. I think it was strange how the bird just fell down and just ate that last burst of attacks without much of a fight. I think if you put more detail into the bird's facial expressions it would have seemed like the bird collapsed out of exhaustion. I thought it falling down was just an attack that missed and then it just stopped being animated.

    Omega:
I enjoyed what you made a lot. You were pretty ambitious with this through using the impact frames and trying that perspective with the grass. I think your sound mixing could use a lot of work. The song in the background was pretty subdued while certain sound effects were even quieter than that to the point of being almost inaudible. On top of that, some sounds were really loud. The voice clips from your character were also pretty loud. I think the part where Nina runs up and kicks your character was weird because based on that 3d perspective you gave he was really far away. Yet, in the span of like a second, Nina kicks him like he was only a foot away from her. If you were trying to imply she used her speed, I think a shot of the warmind guy being by himself and then Nina coming into the shot to kick him would have been better. Or you could have just had Nina crouch down and then shoot off before the camera pan. You also left some movie clips looping longer than they should have. The ending also felt really anti-climactic and abrupt. I think it would have been better to just show the spears skewering Nina or just show them speeding towards her and cutting to black if you'd rather suggest the violence. I think just taking one of the dramatic finish explosions from fighterz not only doesn't fit with the attack he did, it just would have been better if you animated something like that yourself. Finally, one other thing about your warmind character, that giant weapon he pulls out at the end should be animated a lot slower in order to give more of a sense of weight. Him swinging around something that large so quickly takes out a dimension of realism that I feel would really enhance the animation.

My vote goes to JPG. But that isn't to say that Omega didn't put up a good fight. This was close. You have come a very long way, Omega. Hopefully, you'll both keep wanting to get better and learn.

Both: Amazing entries from both sides, BUT--

    UntitledOmega:
    - The choreography was more interesting.
    - Meme facial expressions are love. Meme facial expressions are life.
    - I got a kick out of the glowing boss aggravation line. I like when animations make nerdy references like that.
    - Awesome as a character debut! I think debuts are a little underrated these days, so I'm proud of it.

    Kayas:
    - I fucking love rigs.
    - The choreography was entertaining, though a bit repetitive...
    - Boss bash is always a welcome from me.

I've gotta vote for UntitledOmega, but in terms of viewer interest this was a close call.

Both of those parts were fire, but I gotta vote for somebody.
I think my vote is gonna go to untitled omega, mainly because I felt his part had a bit more going on. But the fact that thats the only thing I can say shows that this was just that close and im kinda nitpicking at this rate, congrats to both

I liked warren's more because there interaction between both characters instead of the entire animation being complete one sided
Kayas' had nice visuals and great chereography but I won't lie this is kind of weak
    Warren popped off ngl
    my votes goes to him

    well good job you two
Impressed to see mbrs coming back
and the new system is pretty close to the [redacted] system
so that was a pretty interesting change you guys did with season but im glad its working out you guys.
anyway for who I thought won this MBR
my vote is gonna have to go to

    OMEGA

his sprite animations felt just less rushed imo then kayas animation.
the dialogue scene really killed the pacing for me in kayas animation. it kind of just felt like pointless filler. also coming from your your last mbr the characters kind of felt a little out of character like someone else was writing the script or something. but besides pacing your animations was pretty clean kayas but i just found more enjoyment through omegas animation.
But i do have to agree with neil both endings felt super rushed. one having barely any impact (kayas) and another one that was just a dumb meme (omega)

Okay so, I gotta say, WOW you both did amazing on this!

I can't even decide whom to vote for so it's a draw for me! I don't wanna type a long cnc so I'll give out my thoughts about this MBR.

    Kayas:

The way you handled all that rigging was incredibly detailed and really good movement. ESPECIALLY with the interactions of how she pokes things with her sword really shows a LOT of character. Like, I'm talking about the way she swings it, her mobility using her surroundings... it's all on point. I freaking enjoyed watching this, man. Thank you for making this!

    Omega:

You've really shown character in this to man! The animation is very and I mean very fluid like butter cuz while I'm typing this sentence right now, I'm literally rewatching the part how you executed her movement in clever ways. That was TOO good man, too good. As I said with Kayas, you've really did, and I'm serious on this one, a very great job using her. I love it man, I really do.

EVERYONE is going off today man. I hope you both keep this up on your future projects especially everyone else who's reading this too. Great job, you two!

I'd have to vote for Kayas since his animation did feel a bit more "boss" battle like.
Omega's started off with a much better boss battle feeling but seemed to very quickly just turn into a 1v1 fight. The way ended the animation especially solidified my feeling of "this isn't a boss battle anymore"

But otherwise, both animations were very enjoyable to watch and everything else I would point out has already been pointed out.

I have to say I'm quite surprised by this mbr, this is a very close one. Though I gotta vote for Kayas. It has a really nice flow and was very satisfying to watch, everything felt really natural and the scenery was also really convincing. What bugged me the most on omega's part (aside from that weird perspective) was the sound design, it felt a bit too weak at times imo and the sword sfx could be better quality. Aside from that the choeroagraphy was great, maybe you could have a slightly less "aggressive" camera (I can't exactly put a word on this I'm sorry).
I hope we'll see more mbrs like this one, both of you did an amazing job!

You both made an amazing job !!
But my vote is for Kayas because I really enjoyed the details like when C-N1N4 looked into the vase, the rig of the boss and his map.
    Sorry it's short but yeah...

Been here for 5 minutes and this is the first post...? Sus but aiiite.
    My vote goes to warren...
Kayas had the aesthetic and some lore to it... But after that it's pretty simple, no boss vibes the boss was hardly putting up a fight.. it has to feel like a BOSS not just a regular enemy you mow through in ten seconds with little to no damage done on you. The combat was coola it had a kind of presence to it, i suppose. but bosses are usually challenging imo. And it felt underwhelming to watch a boss get smacked so quickly. It almost felt rushed honestly.

Warren: i can point out your text but... That's whatever, I'm not gonna tell you how to use a more appropriate font. You had a boss vibe. Hell, you even had a boss health bar. Watching this animation reminded me of the boss fight of nier automata where you fight the Ceos of Square Enix and Platinum Games with the feeling of it being near impossible to win.. the boss even had a second form when a certain amount of health goes down, you really animated something you'd see in a video game boss fight.
It was full of combat, the boss put up a great fight.. the only thing i hated was that odd 3D thing you attempted. I wish you had a more suspenseful music but that's kinda irrelevant.
You've improved so much these last few years man. Keep growing.

Great work from both of you. A lot of qualities and mistakes have already been pointed out so I'll keep it short.
Omega: I fw how energetic and action-packed the fight is; there's a few irregularities and hiccups throughout the animation that took me away from it (how Nina seemingly strikes down your character at 0:36 then the next shot is him getting up while she's at a distance from him) and some physics are somewhat erratic but the choreography was entertaining to watch.

Kayas: I appreciate how detailed and meticulous each frame is, from the feather animation to the sword smears. It did evidently come at the expense of the fight length and there could've been more going on with the camera work and the boss's attacks but overall the attention to detail and polished keyframing won me over.

My vote goes to Kayas, Both works ended in an anticlimatic way but I prefer a focused and dense animation over a more spaced out but inarticulate piece, this is a close match and I can see this going either-way based on what each person looks for in an animation. Keep it up.

Wow both of these were fantastic I ummmm oof it was kinda hard to choose. But I gotta go with Untitled Omega for this one kayas was really good, but I really enjoyed the creativity warren had with some of his moves and perspective. It still needs some work but other wise it was really good.

While both animations are solid. While Kayas had smoother movements, I feel like Omega had a more creative fight choreograpy overal.
Omega gets my vote on this one

Well done to the both of you.

JPEGMafia: I loved the post production and lighting you put into the animation, it was quite literally the thing that won you my vote. I'm a sucker for lighting and atmosphere, and while the ending was a little flaccid; I think you set up the intro well enough. Also raise the text, I'm begging you.

Omega: Very fluid stuff! I liked the swordplay you did with Nina, it kept me really entertained and engaged, big ups to ya. A lot of others have said the points I've wanted to mention, but the sounds felt out of place, and I feel like some hit effects could've been used.

Vote goes to J-Poggers. It was very close, and took a lot of deliberation to decide.

Hoh jeez. It's such a close match, I had to watch both MBRs like 6 times. Y'all did great.

JPG: While the intro was a good build up to the fight, the dialogue went by too fast. I really like how you interacted with the boss' attacks (slicing and stepping on the feathers) and the map (the bamboo). Could've added camera shake at 0:24 and the ending was kinda anti climatic. Big points for keeping the flow consistent.

Omega: Really great use of impact frames and the combat is sick! Especially at 0:34 - 0:37, that was really fluid and having her bounce from the tree was a nice touch. Definitely could've use a gleam sound effect at 0:40 and the pausing after that kinda killed the flow. If you're trying to sync to the music (like the "THAT IS BULLSHIT-" part), I think having Nina look for Myrddin before he appears would've been a good touch. Also at 0:50, this is just me nitpicking, I don't know if Myrddin has super human strength, where he swings his HUGE weapon, it looks kind of weightless. I think a really slow to a fast build up would work really well for the swings.

    My vote goes to JPG.
MAN, oh man, Omega, you were so close. Y'all put up a good fight and I'm excited to see more from you guys!

I was hyped to see the finished part of this MBR and I'm glad to see it all the way through! This is one of the MBRs I wanted to vote for ever since I heard that it was happening, and now I'm going to give my points for both Omega and Kayas.

    Kayas
Your animation was a sight to see, and it's nice to see some more of your work! Though there are definitely problems I found with your part that have problem already been mentioned, but I just want to get this off my chest.
    • The Intro's pacing is a bit too fast, though we do get a good look at what we have to work with in the animation, it seems to be moving too fast for us to get a better understanding of what's been going on. Even showing a little slideshow of sorts of prequel events would've added more to the element of the story and such.
    • The camera work was good! But it didn't leave as much impact on some of the attacks or things in the animation. Some things felt that it was lacking in some departments as the camera was more so just doing pans of the characters movements. Though that isn't a bad thing, it's just for the most part the animation lacked impact.
    • The length of the animation didn't sit right with me, though this is probably my biggest gripe with your part, is that it didn't really feel like the entire time spent on it wasn't 3 weeks. It ended off too abruptly and didn't seem more like a boss battle and though just fighting a regular mob. The fight was seemingly extremely one sided and didn't really feel like a boss fight.
Your animation was pleasing to the eye, but it honestly was lacking at some points in it. I overall enjoyed it, and looking forward to seeing more content!

    UntitledOmega
It's good to see more stuff from you man, and your style was good to see! And of course, I do have my issues with your part as well, so I'll get that off my chest as well.

    • The sound design in your part was a bit lacking in some departments, with parts in the fight that were seemingly lacking while the visuals somewhat carried through that. I'm sure this has been already addressed, but I just want to get it clear here that, the Dragon Ball sounds can make or break an animation if used properly or not. Though of course, it was all bad, it was only some parts that seemed lacking!
    • Near the ending portion, it felt rushed. The final blow for the attack could've been pushed back a bit for more combat for the two to actually fight to give more room and time for the impact of the final hit to not feel rushed. The usage of the dramatic finish from DBFZ was really lazy and It could've been just executed better by having a view of the forest and just an explosion or huge dust explosion and same cam shake.
    • I'm sure this was probably said before, but the placement and usage of the text could've been used better! I won't say much upon that since I'm sure it's been said many and many times before and Shulkle already gave a in depth talk about it.
Now that has been said, I'd like to give out my Pros in this MBR. For one, both are done and executed well all said and done. It was very hard to come up with an answer for this MBR. Both had their own aesthetic and it was pleasuring to see the both of you guys' parts!

But, my vote's gonna have to go for Omega!
While his part seemingly lacked things that were in Kayas' part, your part had more to it and that's what made me pick it. Your part had more contents within in making it seem like a winner in my eyes. The boss line and the syncing with the music was probably a good sense in notation of the fight in which I'm a sucker for stuff like that!
