Have you ever been annoyed by how long collabs take? Or maybe a collab you look forward to gets canceled after all that effort? Or maybe collabs take too much effort in general? Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you, the Speedrun Joint Mini Collab. What is a joint collab? It’s a .fla share. The theme is pretty much this. Animate your character beating up/fighting the participant who is before you within 3 seconds, or if you’re crazy enough, 10 seconds maximum. After every participant, the map will change, adding more variety for each 1v1 skirmish. I will be the one to work on that portion, so don’t worry about that! All YOU have to do is animate a short 1v1 sequence with the previous person who animated beforehand on a blank canvas. If you wanna jump off walls or something, you go right ahead, and I'll make it work. The main goal is to make it mind-numbingly simple for anybody who is taking part. Sounds simple right? Because it is. Why have a convoluted theme that drains so much time and takes forever to publish when we can just *speedrun* completing a collab? A .fla share, no less. General guidelines - 24fps only (@Neil is stupid for doing Armageddon collab at 30fps) - Animate CC only - Sounds and Effects are preferred, but I can take care of it if you really want. - No Camerawork, I’ll also take care of that - Anytime somebody finishes, the .fla will be passed to **me** before going to the next participant. Here’s the most important rule. Once you have the .fla, you will be given 3 days to animate. That’s it. It’s called speedrunning for a reason. I’ll be sure to give both a heads up and daily checkups. Fail to do so, and I will move down the list. (There are exceptions depending on the situation, talk to me about it, and we can sort this out like a proper host-participant relation) If you are interested in being a part of this joint/.fla share, DM me. or contact me through Maplemation Discord, or just drag another friend into it to reach me. There's no Discord server for this kind of thing, moreso a thread in the Maplemation Discord. I’ll be sure to keep it open for the time being. One more thing, I do not plan to make this a large-scale collab, nor do I have a particular standard. I do request to at least watch the MM tutorials before joining. Depending on how many take part, I may or may not close the collab entries early. Due to the increase of participants, I will be more strict on deadlines. On top of that, I may or may not change the method of how the .fla may be handled. This will be updated on a daily basis, and I'll be sure to check on participants ahead of time before it is their turn.
Hey hey~ Just a heads up, with the increase of participants and not wanting this collab to drag all the way to June, I plan to close entrants by Friday this week. (March 4th) Edit: Sooooo remember how I said I'd close it by the end of this week? Yeah no I lied, I'm closing it early within 2 days due to an influx of participants. I do not want to have this drag to June.
Turns out it's going to drag to June anyway. Guess the 2 days thing was enough for a lot more to join haha. Closing all entrants now, I'm sorry, I really don't want to get people waiting that long, nor do I personally want to take that long.
