This idea was suggested by @TheWind

Hey! remember this? We chose to call ourselves The Unofficial Projects Team and we're not doing the whole plan I made, but I assure you we already have a couple of things on the background...

After the release of SPC2 we are taking the opportunity to generate original collab ideas. We appreciate your ideas and suggestions, but we can't make them all come to life so this time I will bring one of them to reality, that's right I'm going to take care of it for you.

ONLY THIS DURING THIS WEEK (05/25 - 06/01) what we want you to do is just to speak your mind about any animation collab you have ever thought of; it's not obligatory; but consider these three rules as it is what I'm mostly looking for.

    ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
    1. No smash collabs. 2. Simple ideas. 3. It has to be public.
    ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
    Follow-up thread coming soon!

    Character Development (Intertwined History Collab)
Animate your characters backstory (optionally with a friend) with your two character backstories intertwined. You may add new content to flesh out the years your two characters have spent together (or apart)!

Character 1 met Character 2 at a sports event back in 1337, and they have stuck together during [Character 1's Biography Event] and [Character 2's Biography Event]. During [Character 1's 2nd Biography Event], Character 2 went missing and Character 1 defeated Character 3 in order to retrieve Character 2! ...And here they are today in Maplemation. Teh Edn.

    Baton Pass Collab

Animation of characters obtaining a secret weapon in the shape of a baton running from the police as each the baton passes from one person to another one way or another.

Character A finds the baton weapon and sees that it holds extreme power and decides to keep it, however, upon its use, the police has picked up its trail, causing Character A to flee as they battle out foes along the way. Unfortunately, as he fought, the baton was struck away from their hands to Character B, and the trend continues.

    A tag - teaming - obstacle - course - collab - thingy?

So people work together to get through some sort of course in order to obtain a treasure of sorts. Through each section, each person would work with the person in that area to get through.

So we start off as A. Person A has to go through a course until s/he meets B. Then A and B work together in a course until they come across C, who is in another course. Then A stays behind and B and C work together to get through another course. Same deal, when they meet D, B stays behind and C and D work together. Keep going until person Z gets to the treasure.

I'd just like to give my two cents on what I think collabs should be like:
I think we should avoid ideas for collabs that would be better suited as individual projects. A collab should have a central theme or conflict that connects all the parts of it. Personally, this is why I hate random bash collabs where people just animate them bashing anything they want, put them together, and call it a collab.

Examples of past collabs with stories/themes:
    Smash Mushroom Collab [2] [3]

Here's a classic. The SMC started out as just a bash collab, but as the second and third came out, a storyline was added to it explaining why they were trying to defeat the mushroom.
    Maple Jobs Collab
This is closer to a random bash collab in that it doesn't have a storyline per se. But it does have a theme, and that's the showcasing of the skills of different job classes from MS.
NOTE: I don't think that a collab that just "showcases skills" is a true collab either. It doesn't have a specific central theme. It's basically just another random bash collab. An example of this would be the Order Collab. (That's not to say this was a bad collab. It was actually very good.)
    Generations Collab
The theme with this one is the newer generation of animators overtaking their predecessors. I think this was a very neat idea for a collab, tbh.

I think we should have a Race collab where everybody uses any means possible to win. Since most people are suggesting something along the lines of a race. I think this would be a good idea but obviously with something to make it more fun

Feeding off what Trax said, how about "Black Hole Collab". Your character is trying to escape a gigantic black hole that is eating up the environment. If your character stops moving or gets hit to the left, you are swept away into the black hole and the next entry begins.

    oh here's something
we'r in jail and we'r gonna escape and during our escape we meet people who prevent us from escaping
and later on we fight some sort of a "mini boss" big boss or bosses in the finisher that we fight together after we meet up in some way

there will be 2 parts the part before we reach the big boss or bosses and part after it
we will talk about more details if we'r gonna actually make this.

    Occupation/Service Industry Collab
Not Maplestory jobs, but rather real careers and jobs that exist, like doctor, lawyer, factory worker, architect, waiter, but blown way out of proportion to seem interesting, obviously. You don't have to be limited by real world standards, you can even use your supernatural abilities and features to better get the job done! To better connect everything together, it can be like a total redesign project of a town or something in which everyone has to work and do their respective jobs for the project to work. If not that, then a service industry sort of deal in which the person A goes to person B for help for something, then person B goes to person C for something, and so on and so forth. Example: A needs to get food from B, B needs to get his car fixed by C, C gets hit by a car and needs to be treated by D.

    TV Genre Collab
The viewer is bored and decides to watch some cable TV, but even then he can't find something he wants to finish, so he keeps flipping the channel. The collab is compilation of every kind of show he'd consider, but he ultimately changes the channel to the end, where he finds the perfect show for him. Each part of the collab is a different kind of TV show, like person A does a gameshow, person B does a sports game, person C does a sitcom, etc. until finally viewer gives up and watches porn or something.

    Shrunk Collab
Wait, when did everything get so big...No, it's not them that got big, it's me that got small!!! What do I do?!!! This collab answers this classic fantasy scenario! You must navigate around your gigantic surroundings and get to safety! Maybe if you tell one of your friends, maybe they can help you! But what about these humongous animals that find you easy prey? Oh no! Get away, get away!!! Show us your take on dealing with this strange new phenomenon! Maybe even find the source of the problem, like the irresponsible scientist with the shrink ray, or the aliens that observe and fuck around with test subjects? Who knows, we'll see!

    Disability Collab

Oh know! Your character has been involved in some event that has left you physically impaired! How will you deal with life from now on? Will you let your ability stop you, or will you step up and make your disability an advantage to those around you?! Show these people with perfect health that the disabled can still do just as good a job or even better! Person A shows what it's like to be blind, Person B shows what it's like to have one or no arms, Person C shows what it's like to have one or no legs, Person D is Stephen Hawking-esque, and so on.

I feel like these ideas are a bit incomplete for collab ideas, but hopefully you guys get what I mean.

I always thought of like a huge multi-character Boss Fight similar to the ones from Sword Art Online (Minus the healers).
Just imagine. One big and powerful baddie against a group of warriors and fighters trying to slay him down. Not many surviving or getting badly wounded, And the last survivors (And maybe a backup from elites) finally beating it down.

    Flag runner collab, I suggest.
First person take the flag. but he have a chasers right behind him.
have an option either throw the flag away or lost the flag to a random things but a chasers.

Second person take the flag but a chaser saw him and he need to run for it.
    then continue to third person.

a chasers will attack anyone that have the flag.
The last runner need to escape or outrun the chasers.

*Flag could be anything else like Crystal, Money, Bag, ect.*

Maplestory is a 2D platform game. What other games come to mind when you think of 2D Platform games? inspired by the Hatim's Maple Castle Collab
    Introduction:
Big trouble! (Princess/Prince) has been captured by (Villain) and it's now up to the Maplers to go rescue him/her.
Idea: Each person must reach the end of the pipe located at the end of their respective maps without being kidnapped themself by Villain's army.
Rules: Use your imagination to simply reach your destination. It's up to you about what to do with the monsters, there is no requirement to exterminate them.
Transitioning: Mapler A initially appears from a pipe in the first level. Once Mapler A enters his/her pipe, the next Mapler that comes out in the next level is Mapler B. And so on.

Stages: The basic Grasslands landscape would suffice. The minimum distance each person has to clear should be 1280 pixels.
Obstacles: It would be up to each individual to create these themselves.
Monsters: I can't think of any Maplestory monsters that resemble Mario-universe monsters off the top of my head, but perhaps using the various selection of Mushrooms could work.
Participation doesn't have to be limited to just animators.
Spriters could "Maple-ize" classic Mario monsters such as Goombas, Koopas, Bullet Bills, Piranha Plants Shy Guy, etc. A basic walk sequence and hit frame would be enough.
Map-Makers could design stages with obstacles; not just Grasslands, but potentially even Sky, Desert, Ghost House(?), etc.

    A simple running collab idea.
Introduction: It's almost Summer and Maplemation is kicking off with a game of tag!
Idea: Each participant (tagger) has to make human-to-human contact with the next participant (target).
Rules: No restrictions on what your character may use, be it special powers, weapons, or debilitating effects; however, the following do not count as human-to-human contact:
    (1) Touching the target with weapons
    (2) Using a clone to tag the target
Transition: After the target is tagged and becomes the next tagger, the previous tagger leaves and the next target enters and runs from the new tagger.

Not a fan of Tag or running?
Introduction: A Mapler just bought a new ball, how nice! Oh, what's wrong? The ball was actually a bomb that will detonate if it touches the ground or if it stops moving or if it leaves the area?! Don't panic, Mapler! Just throw it into the air and don't drop it!
Idea: Each participant has to continuously keep the bomb in the air to prevent it from touching the ground, remaining stationary for too long, or exiting the designated area.
Rules: You don't want to die, do you?! Keep the bomb in the air, moving at all times and within the boundaries of the map by any means necessary!
Weapons and abilities are allowed with the following exceptions:
    (1) Time cannot be altered in any way.
    (2) This bomb is unreasonably powerful and cannot be contained within a barrier.
    (3) It's a fool-proof bomb that cannot be destroyed or defused. Its shell is practically invincible to all physical and magical attacks.
Transitioning: After each participant is finished with their part, they quickly leave the map and the next participant quickly enters the map to perform their part.

You remember jump quests, right? inspired by a thread made long ago, credit to the original idea creator.
Introduction: A newbie player has just started Maplestory and they need help completing quests to gain EXP! Unfortunately, he/she is bad at jumping (and some of us here as well according to many CnCs) and cannot get the (x) amount quest items located at the end of each jump quest! But this newbie is not alone! He/She has joined the newbie-friendly guild, Maplemation, whose members are willing to help!
Idea: Each participant will be designated a 640x720 segment of the jump area which has a quest item waiting at the end.
Rules: The primary goal is to obtain the item at the end then use the portal provided at the end to exit.
    (1) Like the actual jump quests in Maplestory, all abilities that enhances or provides movement are prohibited and the item must be hand-picked (i.e. cannot use abilities or weapon extensions to acquire items)
    (2) On the other hand, weapons are allowed for the sole purpose of combatting monsters encountered in the jump quest
or preventing oneself from falling and are henceforth, stripped of all abilities.
    (3) Falling down does NOT disqualify the participant. If falling down is a desired event, pick yourself up and try again!
    (4) A maximum of TWO participants can work together in any one segment of the jump quest. This means having a clone to help is allowed, or even inviting another participant to assist you in your venture to the goal!
Transitioning: One each participant reaches the end of their jump quest, they will exit the map using a portal that spawns next to them after collecting the item. The next scene will be the next participant's jump quest and so on.

Don't like the Mario idea? Let's try a different premise. this involves "smashing"
Introduction: It is the year XXXX and robotic aliens have taken over the Earth! Fight alongside the Maplemation Resistance to gather parts for a time machine.
Idea: Each participant will enter a flat terrain and exterminate at least 5 of the robotic aliens to remove parts needed for the time machine from them.
Rules: All weapons and abilities are permitted with the exception that time altering abilities are prohibited (for obvious plot reasons). Animations should at least be 30 seconds long (don't try to pull an ultimate AoE ability from the start, that's boring).
Transitioning: After defeating the minimum requirement of 5 robotic aliens, each participant will drop a portal designed by the Resistance to teleport them back to base. After the portal self-destructs, more aliens will arrive on the scene (via teleporter beam) and enters the next participant.

Instead of fighting arch-enemies, the premise could be that someone is creating evil doppelgangers and each pair has to defeat their respective clones.
