If you remeber in the original preview, there were problems with the audion whenever I talked. It kept glitching and stuff on the headphones and even the computer whever I talked. I was able to fix it however. I don't have a mic yet though to make me sound more realistic I guess. I hope you enjoy this fixed version. If you minded the audio glitching whenever I talked, watch this version instead then. Hmmmm, I think I could try to help you out xD But mainly from what I've heard you gotta think about something that makes you really sad then talk with that emotion from the heart (of course I'm way to shy to voice act!) But it's fun! Everyone does it differently though I suppose, and it's one of those You'll improve as you go things
I would think twice about using that big open mouth, it doesn't sync well with the other mouths. I think derek/spritefan2 made a video about how he uses mouth sprites. This is all personal preference though, but to me that mouth always looks out of place and kind of ruins the potential of the animation. I like the unexpected ending and that you're thrown off guard with the first scenario, nicely done. And yeah voice acting is always hard, I am struggling with it myself as we speak. Might be good to watch some video's about training yourself to sound more sincere and have a couple of people (preferably with knowledge on script writing) read it over.
Thanks guys for enjoying the preview. :) Mitch sounds like Drew because Drew voice acted as him. For sounding more emotional, I'm not sure if I want to think of something really sad or not. That's just me. And for the big mouth, I use the Sony Vegas lips instead of the Flash ones. I feel like the Flash ones are too complicated and I don't really want to do complicated lip syncing in a series.
I have no idea what the 'Sony Vegas lips' or 'Flash lips' mean, it's just a different shaped sprite is it not?
What I mean by Sony Vegas lips is that I prefer to use to lips that Sony Vegas maple animators use when animating. The lips that I've seen a lot of Maple Flash animators use (Derek's lips) I prefer not to use.
