    Hi, members of Maplemation!

This thread is for You, who has a creative mind and a brain full of ideas to share them! Don’t let your ideas be ideas! Submit your collaboration ideas here and see if anyone can use it!

This thread is also for you, those who want to host a collaboration; who are looking for ideas and inspiration submitted by awesome people!

We encourage all kinds of creative ideas and will try to keep the thread updated on the first post. However, please keep them creative and piffle-free.

    ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Read the following Rules and terms before submitting or taking ideas!

You who come to submit ideas:

    1. If you post your idea here, you must be open to the fact that the collaboration idea can be used by anyone. If you are not willing to let people take your ideas, thenyou shouldn’t be suggesting them publicly.

    2. Be creative! We welcome simple to complicated ideas, but please try to keep them creative and refrain from posting your average “smash” collaborations.

    3. Give as many details as possible. Present the theme/idea. Does it have a plot? In what environment does it take place? What is special about it? Any management requirement? Etc. Depends on the information you provide, we will put it on the first post of this thread. Ideas that are too vague won’t make it to the first post.

    4. No ideas that could trigger drama/flame-war. Collaboration that causes disrespect against specific member, person, or religious belief, etc., will be reported.

To expand upon the third rule, feel free to use this optional format in order to organize your ideas:
Collab name: What is it going to be called?
Sprite: What kind of art/sprite is it going to allow?
    Type:
    • Team Collab: Something you make with a selected group.
    • Forum Collab: Something where all the community can participate
    • Mix: Something that involves the two types above.
Time: When does it start? When should it end?
General idea: A very brief description of the idea, in some cases two words is enough.
Story: Where does it take place? What time/age? What’s the theme? Who are the characters? What is it about?
Extended Idea: Use this to explain in detail the important aspects of your collab, what do you exactly want the participants to do?
Details: Make a list of important technical details like: How is it going to work, transitions, resources, rules, time management, etc.
    Music:
    Resources:

    Example:
    Collab name: Base Breakout Collab
    Sprite: Maple only
    Type: [FLA] Forum Collab
    Time: [Jun - Sep]
    General idea: Obstacle course.

Story: Some maplers have been captured by an evil mastermind and what’s worse; they’ve been put inside a tiny cage! In his facilities every room is designed as an obstacle course and each cage inhibits the powers and cripples the weapons of their prisoners, not to mention this base is going to explode in five minutes!

Extended idea: There will be a short intro, after this, every participant will be given a custom map with various traps, mechanisms, ropes, acid, lava etc… The character has to break from his cage (which can also be customized by the participant to fit his/her character) and go from point A to point B where said character has to jump on a button to “disable” the next participant’s cage.

    Details:

    · Maps will be made in Flash 8 so anyone can use the .fla, this file is going to be 640x360, 30 FPS.

    · There will be 10 maps, some of which can only be animated once, moreover, if the participant wants to make his/her own map, he/she will receive the resources to do so, while keeping the aforementioned elements. (Cage, traps, obstacles)

    · These maps are going to be laid out this way: 3 Trap Rooms (TR), 3 Boss Rooms (BR) 4 Obstacle Rooms (Or) and the order for the parts: [OR,TR,BR,OR,TR,BR,OR,TR,BR,OR]

    · The transition method: After pushing the button, the participants have to animate a “winning pose/dance” for 3 seconds, then in post production the video will be moved out to some direction while the next part pans to the center of the screen.

    · Participants will not be forced to meet a requirement every week, instead, they will select a week where they know they can focus on their animation and so, the host and the group will help this participant during said week.

    · Deadline will remain unchanged. If the participant cannot complete his animation before the deadline his/her part will not be shown in the final production.

    ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

You who came to take ideas:

    1. If you are planning on taking somebody else's idea then you must inform it HERE and to the person who suggested the idea. That applies even if you are going to make a variant of the original idea. The credit should be shown clearly in the final collaboration.

    2. If you affirm that you are planning to host the collaboration, you must state when you are going to do so. If you haven't hosted it yet or haven’t announced a postponement, the idea will be free for others to take. The same rule may apply after 3 months of neglecting the collaboration idea. Be sure to inform people in this thread if your collaboration is still rolling so there won’t be any double hosted collaboration.

    3. You are free to host it publicly or privately, but you still need to inform that you are using the idea and need to keep this thread updated with your process.

    4. There are ideas that provide a lot of information for you to use and brainstorm in the first post - but you might want to check the comments on this thread as well. You might find awesome inspiration that didn’t make it to the first post.

    Set your creativity free!

Ideas with organized description and planning will be sorted on this post. Ideas are sorted by the name of who submitted it.

Please read the Rules and Terms before taking any ideas from here!

There are ideas that provide a lot of information for you to use and brainstorm in the this post - but you might want to check the comments on this thread as well. You might find awesome inspiration that didn’t make it to the first post!

Yesterday, I said tomorrow. I won't let my ideas be ideas.

    General Idea: Creative
Theme: Probably anything related to food (i.e Thanksgiving)
Story: Maplers have decided to get together for a banquet to celebrate Thanksgiving! Every person has to contribute to the banquet by bringing a food item to place on the Thanksgiving table. Due to poor planning, it's the day before and all the shops are already closed; so it's time to improvise.
    Details:
    • 30 FPS
    • Each person will be designated a food item.
    • As for the method of acquisition, it can be anything:
      • Overcoming obstacles to reach an item
      • Fighting monsters to collect food
      • Improvised story-telling
    • There will be a minimum requirements (depending on the style each person wishes to choose).
      • Obstacle Course: At least 1280 pixels long (or 720 pixels tall)
      • Fight/Bash Style: At least 20 seconds of fighting (if intros are used, they do not count towards animation time)
      • Story-Telling: 60 seconds (minimum) should be long enough to properly portray how an item is acquired.
    • Transition will be a simple fade out after acquiring item and fade in to next participant.
*This is a spitball idea. Details can be modified to fit a more informative/formal setup for collaboration hosts*

General Idea: "Obstacle Course" or "Jump Quest"
    Theme: Sleepywood or Ellinia dungeons
Story: A newbie player has just started Maplestory and they need help completing quests to gain EXP! Unfortunately, he/she is bad at jumping (and some of us here as well according to many CnCs) and cannot get the (x) amount quest items located at the end of each jump quest! But this newbie is not alone! He/She has joined the newbie-friendly guild, Maplemation, whose members are willing to help!

    Details:
    • All skill-levels of animation are welcomed.
    • Flash CS6 (or CS8?) at 30 FPS
    • Each map will be 640x1080

    Rules:

    • Like the actual jump quests in Maplestory, all abilities that enhances or provides movement are prohibited
    • Item must be hand-picked by being physicall next to the item
      • Cannot use abilities or weapon extensions to acquire items
    • Weapons are allowed
      • For the sole purpose of combatting monsters encountered in the jump quest or preventing oneself from falling and are henceforth, stripped of all abilities.
    • Falling down does NOT disqualify the participant.
      • If falling down is a desired event, pick yourself up and try again!
    • A maximum of TWO participants can work together in any one segment of the jump quest.
      • Inviting another participant to assist you in your venture to the goal
      • Using a second OC to help your main OC
      • NO POWERS MEANS NO CLONES
    • Transitioning: One each participant reaches the end of their jump quest, they will exit the map using a portal that spawns next to them after collecting the item. The next scene will be the next participant's jump quest and so on.

General Idea: Creative (?) or Bash (?)
Story: A Mapler just bought a new ball, how nice! Oh, what's wrong? The ball was actually a bomb that will detonate if it touches the ground or if it stops moving or if it leaves the area?! Don't panic, Mapler! Just keep it in the air and don't drop it!
    Details:
    • Stage Size: 640x360
    • 30 FPS
    • Synced (Person A's end frame = Person B's start frame)
    Rules:
    • Bomb is not allowed to exit the stage
    • Bomb is not allowed to stay stationary in air with use of spatial interference abilities
    • Weapons and abilities are allowed with the following exceptions:
      • Time cannot be altered in any way.
      • This bomb is unreasonably powerful and cannot be contained within a barrier.
      • It's a fool-proof bomb that cannot be destroyed or defused. Its shell is practically invincible to all physical and magical attacks.
    • Transitioning: After each participant is finished with their part, they quickly leave the map and the next participant quickly enters the map to perform their part.

    General Idea: Combat/Bash
    Story:
There was once a legendary swordsman who bravely fought alongside the Heroes of Maple against the Black Mage. His great sword had the ability to gather energy from the open world and expel it in a destructive fashion; when matched with his spectacular swordsmanship, his presence during the crisis was on par with the Heroes. However, the Black Mage's commanders were able to defeat him and salvage the sword and his soul. The Black Mage corrupted the swordsman's soul and placed it within the sword turning it into a demonic weapon that would possess its wielder giving them great power. The blood-stained sword then became an asset of the Black Mage's forces but after the war ended, the sword was lost in battle.
There was a recent discovery of a sword that matched the description of the demonic blade, but without care for the lore, it was picked up and an evil was once again unleashed in the world.
[TL;DR: Evil Sword ~> Possesses People ~> Sealed ~> Uncovered ~> Evil Reigns Again]

    Details:

    • Difficulty: Intermediate or greater
    • All animation mediums welcomed
    • 30 FPS
    • After story-telling, the first person discovers the sword and enters its realm to fight the swordsman's corrupted soul. He/She then ends up losing and becomes possessed.
    • Characters who are possessed no longer have their original abilities and are assigned a skill set suited to the swordsman's and his sword's ability.
      • High proficiency with the sword
      • Ability to gather energy from surroundings to condense and unleash
    • Participants will be fighting the previous participant who became possessed by the sword.
      • Whether the participant wins or loses, the participant must end up being possessed by the sword.
      • Possession occurs when the person is the only individual in direct contact with the sword.
    • Transitioning is a fade out after the participant becomes possessed and fades into the next participant's scene.

    General Idea: Drawing a Timeline
    Theme: World History
    Details:
    • Draw another person's OC at a historically significant event.
      • i.e. The Fall of the Berlin Wall
*Don't know much about drawing collabs, but here's an idea regardless.*

    General Idea: Story-Telling
    Theme: Creative
    Details:
    • Flash CS6 | 30 FPS | MapleStory | Difficulty: Strong basic foundation / Intermediate
    • Participants will be animating different parts of a story that they will create together.
    • This idea will require about 1 to 2 weeks before beginning; or when the host believes they have enough submissions.
    • During the announced time frame for preparation, those who wish to participate in this animation collab must continue the previous entry's "story" by posting in the thread.
      • The host will create a main character (or everyone can pitch in afterwards to design the character) for the story.
      • Each person's story submission must be between 15 and 40 words.
      • Do not "shit-post" in the collab thread; do not add your own part of a story if you do not plan on actually participating in the animation part of the collab.
    • After the thread's entry period closes, the host will randomly distribute a different of the story to each participant.
      • Up to the host's digression, participants may or may not be allowed to switch parts with other participants or ask for a different part.
    Requirements:
    • Each participant should include every detail of the story part they were given.
      • That being said, there will be no minimum time requirement so long as the animation can accommodate for their story part.
    • For the fairness of OC screentime, participants will not be allowed to insert their characters into the story as it revolves around the main character.
      • Background characters must be randomized or created for the sake of a scene (i.e "...the main character encounters a purple alien wearing western cowboy attire and...")
    • Transitioning will be done in a start/end frame fashion to keep the story consistent and without holes.

    General Idea: Creative Comedy
Story: "It's just a prank, bro."
    Details:
    • Flash | 30 FPS | All types of sprites
    • Participants will play a prank on the next participant.
      • Stunts that end in death or fatal injuries* do not qualify as a prank unless you're Kenny. (*Uncertain restriction)
    Requirements
    • At the beginning of each part, the participant is shown holding a paper note.
      • Or if the part involves the participant setting up the prank before it happens, make sure the paper note is visible.
    • At the end of the prank, the participant who gets pranked finds a note saying "It's just a prank, bro." with the camera focused on the text.
      • The camera then zooms out and shows the next participant in possession of the paper note.
      • Person A pranks Person B. Person B finds the note from Person A. >Transition< Person B pranks Person C. Person C finds the note from Person B. >Repeat<
      • (The note's text can be each participant's signature)
*Still a spitball idea, can be further developed*

Inspired by the game, Dumb Ways to Die, and the content on the forum involving Smog always dying.
(Unless this was already done? If someone could link me a video, I feel that I've seen it before but can't recall where to find it.)

    General Idea: Creative
Theme: Find a way for a certain individual to accidentally
    Details:
    • Flash | 30 FPS | MapleStory
    • Participants will come up with peculiar and/or possibly random events for the subject to experience and end with his/her untimely death.

    General Idea: Creative
Story: 2K's hat is a bottomless four-dimensional pocket; it's time for him to do some cleaning. Not wanting to deal with getting rid of the items, he dumps out the hat's contents over the tallest cliff he could find (good boys and girls don't litter!). What the heck?! It appears that the members of MapleMation had snuck into his hat beforehand in hopes of surprising him, only to be surprised themselves!! What will become of our forum's members?!
    Details:

    • Any Program | 24/30 FPS | Primarily MapleStory sprites (explained further)
    • The background will be continuously looped such that it is always portray everything going downwards.
      • No one knows for sure how tall this cliff is, so the background will also serve as a measurement of time (the sun and moon conveying day and night)
    • Logically speaking, the characters are looking for a way to prevent themselves from falling to their demise. So this will be the primary "objective", but not everyone has to successfully do so; it's creative, so do what you want to do.
    Restrictions:
    • What the heck is even in 2K's hat?
      • Whatever you want; not limited to just MapleStory sprites. Just remember it should be falling into the stage
    • What did you bring?
      • Nothing. Better make use of whatever falls out of 2K's hat.
      • In other words, if you want to use a tailored weapon, it cannot be your person nor summoned; however, it can be animated falling down and into your hands.
    • Flying and Levitation abilities are prohibited; as well as the use of magical items that can do the same.

    General Idea: Fight Animation
    Story: inb4 cliche story
You wake up and look around to see where you are. You have concluded that you are in some sort of laboratory. Not feeling so well, you look around for some provisions and luckily, you find a glass of water on the table. As you pick up the drink with your hands, you come to the sudden realization that your hands are not your hands. In a moment of shock, you drop the glass and gaze into one of the shards to see your reflection. "WHO AM I?" you cry out in confusion. Suddenly, an alarm is triggered and the laboratory's security system deploys robots to take care of you. Refusing to be captured and hoping to find an explanation somewhere to your dilemma, you choose to fight in this unfamiliar vessel. As you recklessly charge into a brawl, you discover that you have retained your original abilities. At least that hasn't changed.
    Details:
    • Any Program | 30 FPS | MapleStory Sprites
    • The setting will be in a place similar to that of the Alcadno Laboratories that can be found in Magatia.
    • Each participant will be animating the previous participant's character but using the abilities of their own characters.
      • Participant B animates Participant A's character, but the character will use Participant B's skillset.
    • Minimum Animation Time | Between 20 and 30 seconds
    • Maximum Animation Time | Between 90 and 120 seconds
    • Transition: Black fade INTO character waking up and black fade OUT after the character exits the room.
I'll just keep updating this post for any future ideas.

    [/QUOTE]
I seen that alot of people just like to get into the fighting aspect of things and just want to throw fist 24/7 but at the same time its also a thing that people want more stories and more talky talky within your animations, more story, more depth, etc etc.

These ideas are solely to help out that cause and see if people would do this
But I'm aware that the reason for almost no talking or story is that people tend to not know how to keep things interesting enough that the talking portion of the animation is just another one of those things that is skipped and can almost ever be pulled off, but practice goes along way for pretty cinematic scenes, right?

Whether you want these as a collab or not the idea is still there.

You and any other desired warrior visit the Nihal desert on its worst of days, ironically to take out a certain target or deliver goods or any of the sort. you must depict to the viewer what its like to be in the struggle to keep your goods in top condition or how hard it is to navigate in a flurry of sandstorms and harsh conditions. little to no food or water at your disposal. it is your job to depict to the anxious viewer what fate lies in store at the mercy of the sands your faithful fighter is not akin to.

the point of this idea is simply to get your scenes as a whole to look good, no boring camera angles. try to get some interesting shots in and make it look as best as you can, your choice if you enter into a fight or not. but I expect to see alot of struggling withing this. its not easy to fight with sand in your eyes.

If you want a collab form of this i supposed you can get a few people to join. then you all journey into the sandstorm together as the starter then soon end up loosing one another in the sandstorm at which you finally break into everyones individual parts.

You stumble across what seems to be a bloody mess... literally. the corpse still fresh and the blood still dripping down the walls or rocks or what ever there is around the scene, do you run away, or do you peruse your curiosity? perhaps call the cops? the events are decided by the cunningness of the killer, or the field expertise of the profession, maybe the iron will of the bystander

This one is more fun in the sense that you can choose between the point of view from a police officer, or the unlucky civilian or the killer himself. even the one who was killed is an option. its the same general premise as the Raging sands idea, Just practice on getting your cinematography looking nice and try to get your viewers hooked on what might happen next. again any fight scenes are your choice but try to keep an interesting immersion into the story

This one in collab form could possibly have everyone taking a role of sort as they would first need to discuss how each part would intertwine with each others story. just so things dont get a little out of hand. And so the finisher doesnt look dead out of place.

the rest is up for you to decide
Collab name: Beat Bash Duo Collab
    Sprite: Any
Type: Forum Collab [Pairs of two]
Time: [A year or two, more if necessary, considering how hard this collab potentially is.]
General idea: A fighting collab mixed with dancing.

Story: It's the yearly worldwide celebration known as The Great Party. On this holiday, everyone is given a break from doing their jobs starting at noon of the first day and ending at midnight of the third day. During that time, people are allowed and even encouraged to throw massive parties anywhere, with a special law being that you have to dance while attending a party unless you're eating, going to the bathroom, or are sitting/standing in a nondancing area. Sadly, there are some that think this is a pointless worldwide holiday, and they would love to see it gone. So this year they've banded together and are now trying to crash the worldwide festival so that it's forever ruined! Thankfully, there are some maplers that aren't gonna let that happen!

Extended Idea: Each participant pair is to animate two (or more if you feel up to it) characters of their choosing enjoying the party together briefly as their animation fades/transitions in before said party crasher(s){there can be more then one} show up. The two characters then have to fight the party crasher(s) off while incorporating their fighting moves into some kind of dance in order to keep themselves from getting kicked out of the party. After beating the party crasher(s), they go back to enjoying the party before the animation starts fading/transitioning out so the next one can start.

    Rules/Tips/Detales:
    · No annoying your partner in order to get what you want. Communication and working together is key in this collab.
    · The pairs can either pass the fla between them or use some kind of screen sharing service like join.me to make a collaborative animation. It has to be a joint effort though, and both sides should have a say. Just don't annoy each other though.
    · Powers are to be used carefully, if not in limited amounts, as there are many civilians attending said parties.
    · The party crasher(s) don't have to dance while at the party, since they are there to ruin it, but if you want to have them do so you can.
    · Animations don't have to take place on the dance floor, and can be done in a different area of the party or outside it altogether. [Being outside of the party while being close to it is an option for those who can't find a partner (aka you looked for one but couldn't find someone you could work with) but still want to join. However they have to have a good explanation of why they haven't found a partner, no just saying you can't find one if you haven't even looked.]
    · Pairs are not limited to animator and animator. You can have a mapmaker and animator, or even spriter and animator, where one makes stuff and the other animates it. Of course, both should communicate and have a say in how the final product turns out. No just doing what you want or telling the other what they should do.
    · The party crasher(s) can try to disrupt the party in many different way's since some of them are more extreme then others. So if you want to have some narrative you can do so, but don't make it feel out of place with the rest of the collab.
·Transitions: Each animation is transition in while the two characters are enjoying the party and after a few seconds, the party crasher(s) show up. After fighting and beating the party crasher(s), they go back to enjoying the party and it transitions out a second or two later. At a minimum it should fade in at the begining and fade out at the end if you are unable to think of a clean transition.

    Music:
    · Each animation can have it's own music, but that's only if the host is ok with doing so. Otherwise, each part is to be sent in without music and the music will be added in in post.
    · Anything used must be credited properly. Other then that, it's up to the host.
Some ideas of mine are more descriptive than others. Most the collab details and requirement are just suggestions, so feel free to alter them as you like :D I used Teddy as a troublemaker on some ideas, but feel free to change it to another more suitable character that you think fit better.
I’m more focused on story making so I apologize in advance if any of the animation details are not making sense!

    Collaborative fun ideas!
    • Inspirated by Fairytail episode 75.
    • Socialish fun video with many people. I did something like this once for another forum for Xmas (Click)
    • Story: It’s the time where Maplemation have their Sports-event! All members will be competing in various sports against each other! While people are playing with all their might; Teddy is plotting a prank that would… most likely ruin the day.
    • Information:
      • Animators will animate members competing in various sports. What special with this collab is how animators will fuse members’ character abilities and personality to play their sports. To animate other members’ characters are a requirement.
      • Someone is responsible to animate the emcee and MM staff who will provide commentary for each sport. The emcee should be the same person, while the guest, who provides the commentary, can vary. Up to the host to decide.

    • Worst name ever^.
    • Inspirated by Hunter X Hunter and Naruto.
    • Story: It’s an exciting day for Maplemation! Trow has announced a super-hard-test for all members of Maplemation to take! With swords sharpened and guns loaded, everyone is ready to take the challenge! It comes to everyone’s surprise when Trow announce that it’s a PAPER test. Everyone is such great fighters, but not everyone got the brains. It’s a battle of cheating! The collab ends with Teddy ruining everything by accidently bringing monsters into the exam area. Certainly, people prefer this test better! ENDS!
    • Information: Animators are to animate how their or other people’s character will do to write the test in a fun and creative way. The MM staff will look out for cheaters. Be creative with your cheating, and how they send you flying when you get caught cheating!

    • There are a lot of fantastic existing sprite costumes and weapons that, sadly, aren't being used from the latest Maplemation Sprite packs (Project SP and MMSP). The idea is to showcase these sprites in the form of a "model-catwalk" kinda thing!
    • Story: The annual Maplemation Fashion Show takes place today! Everyone is excited to see the trendy fashion and beautiful young models. This includes Teddy! Who appears to have no ticket to enter the show. Well, I guess he has to slip into the fashion hall and watch it from the roof. The collab ends with Teddy falling from the roof and ruining the show, as usual.
    • Information: This collab consist of both spriters and animators!
      • Spriter: Spriters will focus on spriting new outfit designs or poses for the outifts. Poses will mostly include walk sequence if nothing else is requested. If possible, spriters shall provide support to the animators.
      • Animator: As animator you will be animating the models/characters in an interesting way! Preferably fullbody animated, but if you can do something cool without it then ofc go ahead. Just keep in mind the poses are limited to those the spriter sprites. Or you can sprite them yourself ofc!

    More of a action stuff:
    • Extra info: This is actually the “One man collab” I’ve been working on for practice purpose. As I work on it I ended up develop quite a lot and thought that this has the potential to turn into an official collab idea :)!
    • Story:
      • It’s the birthday of the Mushroom Princess, Layla. For her birthday, people all over the Maple world went to Mushroom Kingdom to celebrate the Princess’ birthday. Of course, Maplemation will not miss such event!
      • That’s when trouble happens. King of the penguins, King Pepe, is after the legendary Mushroom Sapphire Crystal. King Pepe owns the legendary Ruby Crystal. Legend says that when both crystal comes together, one can acquire unthinkable power! With the help of the Yetis, King Pepe plans to acquire the Sapphire Crystal and dominate the world!
      • In a fail attempt to steal the crystal that day, the thieves that King Pepe sent kidnapped Princess Layla and demand exchange for the Sapphire crystal. At this time, King Mushroom request the heroes of Maplemation to rescue his daughter. As reward, Princess Layla will marry the one who rescue her (comedy ending). So let us march toward Pepe Kingdom alongside a Mushroom army!
    • Information:
      • Intro: Animate the evil plotting of King Pepe with the penguins and Yetis. Show that he sends Penguins and Yeti thieves to steal the Mushroom Sapphire Crystal. Intro also animates the festival at Mushroom Kingdom. Show that people are having a good time, while in the backstage, thieves are after the Sapphire Crystal on King Mushroom’s staff. Animate that the thieves fails to steal the crystal and kidnaps the Princess instead.
      • Intro to war: Animates army storming the Pepe Castle.
      • Participants: Animate your character fighting Pepe and Yetis outside and inside the Pepe Kingdom/castle.
      • Finisher: Fights King Pepe. For the story’s sake, King Pepe must use his Ruby Crystal.
      • Outtro: Shows that a Yeti picks up the dropped Ruby crystal of the Pepes and the Yetis are actually the one behind the scenes. The Yetis are plotting another attack. Boom! Sequel! Mushroom vs Yeti!

    • Difficulty: Intermediate
    • Story: A monster king is trying to steal the Sacred Sword of –enter kingdom name here-! He order his troops to attack the Castle of –enter kingdom name here-. The defense of the castle is tough, but the monster King’s troops are even more so. The monster King eventually reaches the sword and escapes with it. It’s the heroes’ job to defend the castle and bring the sword back!
    • Information: There will be two groups, those who animate monster invading the castle and those who chases after the monster King for stealing the crystal. The challenge of this collab is to really get the defending and chasing parts right!
      • Starter will animate a story like happening where it begins peacefully and then the plotting of the monster king.
      • Group1: Animate your character(s) fighting a horde of monsters trying to fight and get pass you. The monster should be aiming to go towards screen left!
      • Group2: Animate your character(s) trying to get pass a horde of monsters that tries to stop you! You will be trying to reach screen right!
      • Finisher will of course be fighting the monster King!
    • Rules:
    • Do not fade out your part, all parts will be taken place in the same environment and we want the transition to be like everyone is fighting in the same place!
    • GET THE DIRECTIONS CORRECT!!
    • Keep dialogue to the minimal.

    • Difficulty: Intermediate.
    • Story: Maplemation guys are going on an ocean cruise! What they didn’t expect was to be attacked by Pirates! Everyone, to arms!
    • Information: There will be two groups. Those who defend the MM ship and those who board the pirate ships to free the anchors that binds the MM ship.
      • Story-intro animate people packing and getting ready to board the MM ship. Story with dialogues! Suggestion on how to start:
        • CC sees ships far away. Ask Teddy who’s up scouting what it is. Teddy: “Don’t worry! It’s just pirates!”. CC: “Ah, okey! Wait, come again?”. Teddy: It’s just-. CC: PIRATES!!! CC scream to everyone.
        • Trow gets ready. Wear a pirate hat: “Lets show them who’re the real pirates!” CC: STOP IT!!! Hey, My master and greatest admin of all time, reason of slippery floors near female entities! *My master and greatest admin of all time, reason of slippery floors near female entities wears a pirate outfit*. CC: DON’T COPY HIM!!! Trow: MM pirates to arms! Take everything they have! CC: Guys! *Everyone in pirate style* CC: Our community in a nutshell…
      • Action intro animate when the people are on the ship enjoying themselves and suddenly getting attacked by pirates.
      • Participants animate according to the group they belong to. First comes the defender and then we will board the other ship to wreck them.
      • Extra spot: Pirates coming from underwater and climb up to the ship.
      • Finisher fights the Kraken!
    • Rules: Don’t destroy the MM ship. Small cracks are ok, but don’t blast off the sails etc. If need to, make sure that the upcoming collab parts also have the same damage. This require planning from the host.

    • Difficulty: Intermediate to advanced.
    • Story: The world is at risk, again. Evil appeared and kidnapped a member of Maplemation. In order to retrieve him/her from evil, the member of Maplemation have to open the portal to the dark world. The keys to this portal is split into X parts and are guarded by the area boss. Heroes, open the portal and save our fellow comrade!
    • Information: The idea is to unlock a door/portal to the boss. The keys/levers/buttons are located in different areas in Victoria Island (perion, henesys etc). Participants are assigned in "teams" or "groups". In order to open the boss room (In Sleepywood), each group will need to defeat the mini boss in the map they are assigned for. Finisher fights the boss.
      • Starter: Animate the victim member being kidnapped. The people of Maplemation decides to gather intel and decide what to do!
      • Fighters: Animate your character fighting in the area you signed up for. No bosses or mini bosses allowed! Min 30sec, max 1minute.
      • Area finisher: Fight and defeat the area boss and retrieve the key. Min combat is 1minute, max is 3 minute.
      • End Finisher: Animate the portal’s ritual and defeat the last boss. Min 5 minute, no max.
    • Why not challenge yourself and make a movie out of this? Make the area bosses blend like a story? Assign every participating Faction a area?

    • Difficulty: Intermediate.
    • Story: Inspired by Log Horizon and Maplestory game story. Maplemation received a request one day by the goblin Glenn. The goblin country needs help! The old King of Goblin has been murdered by an evil goblin who wants to claim the goblin country to his own. The crown of Goblin possess a tremendous power and can’t be fallen into the evil goblin’s hands, or head. Our job is to stop this coronation! Glenn will show the way through goblin’s forest and into Goblin’s Kingdom.
      • Extra: Glenn will eventually betray the heroes and get the crown for himself.
    • Information: There will be different groups of animators.
      • Objective: Protect Glenn, while fighting through to the Goblin Kingdom! Go creative to protect Glenn while fighting a horde of goblins!
      • Story-intro animate the good Goblin King being killed, the plotting of the evil King and Glenn comes and ask for help.
      • Participants animate where the fight is taking place. Either sneaky in the forest or rampage in the castle. Host should decide the transition.
      • Finisher fights the Evil Goblin King and his generals. Keep it short, because upon defeating him, Glenn would steal the crown and wear it himself. He turns into a strong boss and he will be the true last boss.

    • Difficulty: Intermediate.
    • Story: Trow and My master and greatest admin of all time, reason of slippery floors near female entities have treated us to a space ship cruise! Wow! So generous admins we have! Really, what more can you wish for than two very caring adm- wait, are those ALIENS?! DAMN YOU TROW & My master and greatest admin of all time, reason of slippery floors near female entities!!! We are being attacked by aliens and there is no time to escape! Everyone, to the escape pot, I mean to arms!
    • Information: This collab takes place in SPACE, which means there will be SPACE PHYSIC and could prove challenging. Our mission is to protect the MM ship from within and outside and destroy the motherboard alien ship! Participants can choose between:
      • Intro: The intro animate everyone in space having fun and showing around the space ship. For the sake of the plot, “manual” gravity should be explained. Everyone keep having their fun when suddenly they spot another space ship. This is where the war begin.
      • [1] Fight from outside the ship, in space. SPACE PHYSIC!
      • [2] Fight the invaders in MM ship.
      • [3] Finisher invade the Alien ship and destroy the boss protecting the engine.
      • Outro: After the Alien’s main ship gets destroyed, the alien’s retreats. But our ship sustained too much damage and collided into an unknown planet. Boom! To be continued! A sequel of the next collab will be about trying to fight through aliens get a new ship to get home.
    Idea by @Thewindyfan and I.

Collab name: Interdimensional Chain Combo Collab (open for change)
Sprite: Maple, Sonic/Kirby and Stick Figures
    Type: [FLA] 3-Forum Collab
General Idea: Animate a cinematic combined attack with more than two characters.

Story: A powerful shapeshifting enemy has appeared and he is able to travel among the 2D animation "realms" (I know, this sounds corny already) causing distortions between said worlds, now the enemy has created a portal where the strongest meet and colaborate to restore peace in their corresponding dimensions.

    Extended Idea

You have to make a team attack with more than two characters preferably "unique" in some way, basically, the participant will execute a combo on the enemy and each part will transition into the next one where the next person has to keep the combo alive. There will be three tiers of animators, that way more people can join and it doesn't become some sort of exclusive collab, it would also mean that the animations would get progressively better. It would also have three different background designs, one for maple animations, one for sonic/kirby animations and one for stick animations (it could be the same map but with the aesthetics of the respective dimensions or one of those trippy JRPG final boss-like background that changes colors for the specific dimensions). However, we thought of two versions for this.
    1. FLA share, three different .flas for the three animation communities. (Or more depending on the participant computer's capabilities, In my opinion it doesn't really matter because animator A could make the transition for animator B and pass it on a new .fla if they talk...)
      • Pro: Better Transitions.
      • Pro: More Control.

    2. Individual .FLAs with the same maps and enemies.
      • Pro: Would allow the use of other programs such as After Effects.
      • Pro: Most accessible option for everyone.

I wanted this to come out with Pokken when it was big but, we went for a more interesting idea also nintendo/game freak might not like this idea very much, at the same time if screwattack got away with it then we should too.
    Collab name: Maplemation's Pokken Tournament
    Sprite: Pokémon and Maple
    Type: [FLA] Mixed
General idea: A select team makes cinematic/action style pokémon fights and the forum decides who wins.

    Details:
    1. Fla/Ideas will be shared between the team.

    2. Four pokémon have to be selected from roster, so It's three animations.
    Example:

    First set: Blaziken vs Gengar
Second set: Lucario vs Pikachu Libre
Final set: Blaziken vs Pikachu Libre

    3. The sprites that will be used will be from the Black and White 2 Series as they have the best quality, talented spriters might be needed.

    4. A teaser trailer will have to be made, then the team will make the thread so the viewers can start voting for the first match, they will have one week to do so and the team will have one month for the animation. Then, after releasing the first fight the team will do the same for the other two matches.

Yep... I'm leaving the door open so anyone can take or modify it if they wish.
    Collab name: Guns Collab 2
    Sprite: Maple Only
    Type: [FLA] Forum Collab
General idea: Smash/Mob killing Collab, ranged weapons only.

Story: The gunner duo is back, it took them -insertnumberofyearsittookforittocomeouthere,it's4yearssofar- to reach the city and they are wreaking havoc, they have also brought new robots so just simple guns will not harm them this time!

    Extended Idea:

    1. The map will be divided into three sections, the outskirts of the city (easier robots for new animators), inside the city (for intermediate and advanced animators) and the fight with the big robot (finisher).

    2. There will be an emphasis on music coordinated with the animation, there will be a "fever" bar that is going to fill up at specific moments during the animation, it will be controled and planified by the host (as in the animator has X amount of frames to animate within the music bit), during fever time the impacts will be syncronized with the music and the characters that have been shown so far can destroy the robots in one hit.

    It isn't much.

    Notes:

    • Every part has to have the same FPS.
    • From inside the city, flow is very important.
    • Remember that these are stronger robots, please let them hit you a bit :)
Ah, just another boring day where nothing goes wrong...PFFFFTTT yeah right, life ain't a utopia, and if it was it'd be boring, so of course interesting stuff happens, good or bad.

Anyway, things are going okay for a bit, then DISASTER STRUCK OH NOOOO. There are many victims and casualties, but they are still in danger! We need to gather a rescue team and save who we can! We also need to stop the cause of the disaster however we can, or else it'll make more victims cause disasters are mean that way. Different people can rescue people in different situations, the more perilous the more interesting it is.

This idea applies to any kind of disaster, whether it be a flood, terrorist attacks, earthquakes, monster invasions, a flood of terrorist attacks that use earthquakes on top of monsters, whatever. If there is a final boss who keeps spawning more disaster shit or a dam that needs to be plugged, then that could be the finale or something.

Introducing the -Insert product name here-!!!!! It is a revolution in -insert field of influence here-!!! Get yours today!!!

This product is very popular and almost everybody has it. People who don't have it are considered scrubs or whatever they are called. Anything from previous generations is considered obsolete. The company is making bank and life as we know it is changed dramatically.

Wait, this is all working out too well...OH NO THAT'S NEVER A GOOD SIGN...turns out this product is part of a real global conspiracy to take control of the masses via mind-control or something to make an army! You must stop the company from fulfilling its evil plot while fighting your friends and family who have been turned against you! god this is really cliche...

Maplemation is a very diverse community that takes in members of various ethnicities, species, ages, classes, etc. However, most members only check in once in a while and are often in their own place and away from everyone else, going off doing their own thing, having their own adventures. Communities cannot grow unless members have active communication and activity with each other in order to grow and learn together, and so the staff of Maplemation has decided to throw a collective party/banquet where everyone can meet and get along with each other. However, the staff are serious about the community needing to grow, wanting only dedicated members to be allowed to attend. Thus, they have made the party a Potluck in which people must bring party favors that can be served to everyone in order to qualify. To further increase the amount of dedication needed, the party favors in question must not already be owned by the person, but must be obtained elsewhere, as suggested and specified by the staff for the people to get. Each part of the collab is each person's attempt to get the party favor that they signed up for. For example: Person A must hunt a beast for the meat, Person B must defeat robot security to obtain a home theater system, Person C must earn money to fund the staff's reservation for a private lavish location, Person D must defeat all the people who want to come but aren't willing to get anything from the list, Person E must learn instruments in order to provide music for the event, etc. The end will be the collection and organization of everyone's party favors into one scene, with everyone who did their part living it up with their fellow members and such. Some parts can have multiple members for more people, as there are many members of Maplemation.

Maplemation's users are TOO LAZY! They need to go outside and do some extracurricular activities and win at something other than no life! They must compete at various sports, game, etc. competitions (that aren't online or video game, obviously) in order to be allowed to get back on their computers! Each collab part is of a user's attempts at competing for offline glory at numerous different events. You can make the animations realistic or add a supernatural twist or other such things as long as it's part of the competition at hand. Person A plays in a basketball championship game. Person B has to find items for a scavenger hunt. Person C has to be the winner of the World Staring Contest, etc. Maybe at the end, users will find that the Internet isn't the most entertaining thing after all (LOL NAH).

Not Maplestory jobs, but rather real careers and jobs that exist, like doctor, lawyer, factory worker, architect, waiter, but blown way out of proportion to seem interesting, obviously. You don't have to be limited by real world standards, you can even use your supernatural abilities and features to better get the job done! To better connect everything together, it can be like a total redesign project of a town or something in which everyone has to work and do their respective jobs for the project to work. If not that, then a service industry sort of deal in which the person A goes to person B for help for something, then person B goes to person C for something, and so on and so forth. Example: A needs to get food from B, B needs to get his car fixed by C, C gets hit by a car and needs to be treated by D.

The viewer is bored and decides to watch some cable TV, but even then he can't find something he wants to finish, so he keeps flipping the channel. The collab is compilation of every kind of show he'd consider, but he ultimately changes the channel to the end, where he finds the perfect show for him. Each part of the collab is a different kind of TV show, like person A does a gameshow, person B does a sports game, person C does a sitcom, etc. until finally viewer gives up and watches porn or something.

Wait, when did everything get so big...No, it's not them that got big, it's me that got small!!! What do I do?!!! This collab answers this classic fantasy scenario! You must navigate around your gigantic surroundings and get to safety! Maybe if you tell one of your friends, maybe they can help you! But what about these humongous animals that find you easy prey? Oh no! Get away, get away!!! Show us your take on dealing with this strange new phenomenon! Maybe even find the source of the problem, like the irresponsible scientist with the shrink ray, or the aliens that observe and fuck around with test subjects? Who knows, we'll see!

Oh no! Your character has been involved in some event that has left you physically impaired! How will you deal with life from now on? Will you let your ability stop you, or will you step up and make your disability an advantage to those around you?! Show these people with perfect health that the disabled can still do just as good a job or even better! Person A shows what it's like to be blind, Person B shows what it's like to have one or no arms, Person C shows what it's like to have one or no legs, Person D is Stephen Hawking-esque, and so on.

Have some funny stuff happen to you irl or heard one from a friend or youtube video? Try animating it and tell us about how fun life could be! Categories of stories can be split into different types of videos if there are enough, like encounters with the police stories, then fast food stories, then dating stories, etc. inspired by This is Not Happening from Comedy Central. Or if the story is really long, then it can be it's own video episode.

History is messed up. Wars, genocides, terrorist attacks, slavery, the birth of George W. Bush, the list goes on and on. Don't you wish we could turn back time and stop these horrible events from ever happening? Well with the invention of the time machine (which can be anything at all like a bathtub, teddy bear, dildo, whatever) in Maplemation's basement, we could travel back in time and prevent these tragedies personally. Each collab part will have the participant choose the specific event they want to change and how exactly they plan to stop it from happening. Person A wants to kill Hitler, Person B wants to stop 9/11, Person C wants to stop the Star Wars prequels from ever being produced, that kind of stuff. But how will the world change if you actually DID stop these things from happening? Remember the butterfly effect: a small occurrence can create big changes everywhere else in the world and the future. Each part can end with the participant coming back to see their new future, or everyone can come together at the end and see the world they've created with their collective changes.

OH NO! A teacher has caught you for doing something against school regulations or whatever tf and has sentenced you and many others to the Detention Hall. Maybe usually you could deal with this, but there is a certain event (like a concert, store sale, limited time orgy party, idk) that is that afternoon only, and the teacher is going to keep you all there "until she feels that you've learned your lesson" but that could mean FOREVER! You don't have time for this! You need to escape the detention hall if you want to make it to that event, it doesn't matter if you get in trouble later, all you know is that YOU NEED TO GET OUT THAT AFTERNOON. Each collab part will be each participant's attempt to get out of Detention, whether if be by making a believable excuse, sneaking out through the window, threatening the teacher in a way that won't involve the police. This might really need to follow the order of the participant list, as the start will have everyone, but then each part takes away ONLY THE PERSON OF CHOICE leaving everyone else behind, unless you figure something else out that works. Then at the end, the scene is the event that everyone was so hyped about and the consequence that follow (the orgy might be a bit much tho).

A rather mixed and eventful scene takes place with loads of different characters and extraordinary circumstances that is ultimately very random and confusing. What just happened? We need an explanation of how and why everything just happened happened the way it did. This collab is comprised of the various characters' point of view and recent histories that led up to the scene at hand. Each part is one character's point of view or one set of circumstances that contributed to the chaotic medley of actions, and maybe the finisher is the aftermath of everything that happened after the confusing scene. To better get the gist of what I'm saying, watch the anime Baccano! or these videos that are basically what I'm talking about 1 | 2.

So many animators, so many levels of skill, so many levels of confidence. Face it, all fighters are not equals. There are pros and there are nubs, and then there are people who are in the middle but I don't know what to call them. This is a two part collab, where the two parts are separated by a lot of time, and I'll explain why. The first part is comprised of today's roster of "pro" animators who humiliate or dishonor today's roster of "nub" animators. They can fight in combat, or they can just get beaten in a game or a show of social darwinism or something. The pros don't even have to be all snobby about it, they can just be polite and totally unintentional and the nub can just be some pride-whore who feels like he's been dishonored even tho most would agree it was nothing, those kind of scenarios. Then, the second part is when the nubs get their "revenge" or sense of conciliation or whatever on the pros that had "wronged" them in the first part. They show how much they've improved over the years or however long and get payback whether by the same method or some other way of "humiliation" in order to make things fair or something like that. So yeah, the second part will take place much later after the first part because the "nubs" in question are not experienced or skilled enough to match the "pros" until much later. This collab is meant to incite people of lower skill to improve themselves in order to properly make a "comeback" animation that doesn't pale in comparison to the first part's level, although the entertainment value is questionable at best, as I don't know how to make this sound fun to watch. This is purely for "adding fuel to fires of passion" that is linked to animation motivation and what not, so at the end of the first part, there will be scene that explains "this is for your own good" or something like that, and the end of the second part is something like "now you have learned the ways of the pro" or whatever. Keep in mind that this might spark very angry emotions and personal grudges, so match-ups should be predetermined before hand between combatants in order to make sure it is ok to make a humiliation animation (Although I don't know if the determination to be better than the pros is better if those angry emotions and personal grudges were allowed to happen...).

Products can't just be up and sold if they're suddenly available for purchase at your local store. Many products require the use of mass media advertisement in order to thoroughly catch the interest of as many available consumers as possible in order to achieve recognition and financial success. However, there is always competition in the mass market, including companies that offer similar products and the many other companies that simply take up available advertisement space in various media outlets. Thus, companies must brainstorm unique commercials and ads that are quick and simple and to-the-point which is unlike those of other companies but still appealing to a consumer. Brainstorms happen in conference rooms in which ideas are explained and considered and eventually voted on for the best choice, and thus describes the setting of this collab. Each part is each person's idea for how to advertise the product (whatever that may be) using visual (in-conference-room powerpoint or poster or diarama-whatever) or imagined (scenario that can take place outside of the conference room) accompaniment for further explanation. Ad pitches can visually fail, succeed and receive compliments, or be silently considered while the next person goes up to pitch their idea. The end is the final decision being made, which can be a serious consideration for which is best or a comedic twist that surprises all participants or something. The product can be anything you want real or made-up, whether it be a new vehicle, a fast food chain, a vacation spot, or Maplemation itself (this may or may not be useful for promotion, if we even consider promoting ourselves).

Yesterday, I said tomorrow. I won't let my ideas be ideas.

(Credits to @Leliot for original idea that I overlooked in old thread)
    General Idea:
    Creative

    General Idea: Freestyle
Story: Maplemation has decided to adapt their own version of the hit reality competition show, The Amazing Race. Several teams have gathered to participate in the race for the chance of glory and fame!
    Details:
    • Any animating program | 24/30 FPS | MapleStory sprites
    • The host will be the show's host and distribute different assignments that correspond to different members within a team.
      • Teams of 3 members (or any other number, but has to be same for all teams)
      • Host will come up with 3 (or whatever number) assignments that every team must complete. For example:
        • Member #1: defeat x number of monsters found in a particular region and retrieve one of their drops (bash idea)
        • Member #2: move to a particular region and use the collect drop item for a particular action that the host will explain (creative idea)
        • Member #3: start in at one point of a particular region and make your way to the rest of your teammates at the end point (obstacle idea)
      • The host's instructions will be left to interpretation, but still follow a certain theme for each task that individual members are assigned. Therefore, teams will be able to utilize different concepts from the other teams (such as the ones italicized above).
    • All skill levels are welcomed as long as they can adequately fulfill their tasks. Though this is collab is based on a show about competition, there is no actual competition between teams that would discourage people from participating.
    Timeline and Transitioning:
    • The host will act like a show host and introduce just the teams' names (the individual members will be credited at the end)
    • As the race is happening concurrently, each themed task will be performed in order:
      • All of the Member #1 parts are shown first, then all of the Member #2 parts are shown, and so on.
    • The transitioning in between parts will use a world map displaying each teams in their respective regions.
      • Parts will fade in and fade out.
      • Prior to fading in to a part: Team A will become the center of focus on the world map then fading out into the member's part.
      • After fading out of a part: Fades into a view of the world map, the center of focus shifts from Team A to Team B. Repeat above.
        • For this transitioning to work, teams must plan out a rough idea of where their events will take place in their application.
    • The ending will be somewhere along the lines of every team simultaneously crossing the finish line together so that there's no "winner" in this community-hosted collab.
    Rules:
    • Team names must be age-appropriate.
    • Music may or may not have a place here depending on how the idea is to be portrayed.
    • If a member of a team has to drop out, the team is allowed to recruit another member to replace them. Of course, this would mean that the newcomer will have to be arbitrarily assigned his predecessor's task unless the team chooses to actually re-assign parts if it is convenient.
    • Locations must pertain to the primary Maple World Map for the sake of a simple transition. Meaning, other universes such as Grandis or Future Maple World are not allowed.
    Comments:
    • Non-MapleStory sprites could have a place in this collab given that the environment must remain MapleStory-based.
I'll just keep updating this post for any future ideas.

But in the original thread I said:
    The Potluck Party Collab

    And:
    I also wrote this:
    Sports/Tournament Collab

    Well, anyway, here's everything else:

Straight up copy-paste cuz laziness =3=. Of course these don't have to be collabs, so go ham or whatever the cool kids say.

BUMPING THIS 'CAUSE I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE IDEAS YOU AREN'T WRITING HERE. I SEE YOU. I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE.

Will update this or put in another bump if no one does anything again.

Side note: this seems helpful for projects in general, so this thread should be stickied or something.

This would be super fun. If anyone else is interested, or if anyone wanted to host this, I'd totally join. You could even make it Mario Party DS-esque. (Not sure if all Mario Party plots are the same; I've only played one.)

WHAT HAVE I DONE? I HAVE ALLOWED MY IDEAS TO REMAIN AS NOTHING MORE THAN FRAGMENTS OF THE COGNITIVE REALM THAT I HAVE CONTINUED TO NEGLECT WITHOUT PROVIDING IT THE PROPER NURTURE AND CARE FOR IT TO BECOME A REALITY.
GOD BLESS @Leliot FOR REMINDING ME THAT I CAN'T LET MY IDEAS BE IDEAS.

    • Flying and Levitation abilities are prohibited; as well as the use of magical items that can do the same.
*Under construction as I contemplate how2physics.

So this sounds like a great idea, and I'd happily partake, but I'll give anyone who disregards the basic laws of gravity shit.
So... Figure out an object to use to your aid that fell at the same time you did and hasn't moved relative to you? That sounds like a fun challenge.

    @Tate @Miles
This is what we were joking about in the MR4 chat of MR5 being a dance collab with only rigs where participants have one hour to do their parts, also to draw attention to this thread.

So I said that I already gathered a few resources:
    https://www.mediafire.com/?389udbpaqkp73m2

I put two stages because the maps are different and I think we gotta mix them to make them work, if more people show interest in the idea I'm willing to make the map for both flash and after effects that way someone in the future could host it right off the bat; afterall; this is another reason of why we made this thread.

    And my contributions:

For this one, I'm actually planning on making what may be my last maple fight animation, so yeah I'm gonna make it regardless if it becomes a thing or not. If you want my part to be in the collab I wouldn't mind adapting it to the new specifications so please send me a message through discord or youtube.

        Scissors: Dual Wielding
        Paper: TRIPLE WIELDING?

      • The first letter of your name decides your type of weapon.

    It isn't much.

    Notes:

    • Every part has to have the same FPS.
    • From inside the city, flow is very important.
    • Remember that these are stronger robots, please let them hit you a bit :)

    @Leliot queer.

lol i bet most of you forget about this thread

so here just a little thing to awake it once again
Collab name: the show off collab
    Sprite: Maple only
General idea: a show off yo skillz

Story: bunch of maplemation members introduce themselves and show off their skills and abilities while being explained by a narrator

Extended idea: so at first a narrator talks about maplemation generally then, get into details and talk about its members

    new

collab name : maplemation: the game

    sprite : maple

general idea : basically, a bunch of mbr's and mbrq's

story : maplemation is now a game and we will explore its features and gameplay together

extended idea : each feature of maplemation represent a feature in the game

    for example

    mbr > pvp

    mbrq > game quests

and each member represent a class

    for example

    aquila > gunner

    aran > magician i guess ?

    Shulkle > uhh... Shulkle..?

and everyone class can be discussed

and so people will showcase what they got through either mbr or mbrq

I doubt I could pull this one off or even contribute to yet, so here ya go. If need be you can refine it further.
I'll probably come back and update the idea whenever I've thought of ways to refine it.

Thanks. I wanted to make sure the idea was really well understood and a bit more flexable in it's pairs of two rule, so I tried to account for as much as possible.
Even I wouldn't be able to partake myself considering my current animation level. :awesome:

I'VE BEEN SLACKIN'. SO NOW I'M BUMPIN'

    Rules:
    • For the sake of entertainment, animations should be at least 30 seconds with no maximum time restriction.
