"I don't think any of these tutorials dive into anything really specific, so they should be useful for beginners. I haven't read them either so I can't vouch for their quality, but they were written by quality artists for the most."

I've been using Aseprite for 3days it a great program for those who want to animate there sprite with ease.
It can also help you help you make sprite sheet easy, but for me it just a tool to make game characters.

Adding on to this. I've been using it too. It's really good for Misc sprite hairs. Since you can switch the pencil's angle pretty quickly.(Helps a lot with strands.) For those that don't have photoshop and stuff XD.

There's actually a downloadable version at the bottom of the page and you can always use it in offline mode.

Yes but, without knowledge of MS or any normal palette tips, I don't see how this would work.

Found a new free sprite program for anyone who can't get aseprite.
It simple interface with features that not only beginner friendly, but also has a shade tool.
Have free time at school and you want to work on your sprite project? Well you can with this
program. On the website you can save work and take it with you on flash drive.
You can crate and save your palette that you made for projects then save it for later use.
If you like gif animator you can use this too to make gif files but it only max out at 24fps with limited use of some features you would get from firework.

    *Note*
This is only recommended for those who know the basic of making a palette.
The shade tool may be useful but don't completely depend on it.
