  1. Here it is my first maple animation in 6 months. After working on this for a grand total of 2 days I can honestly say
    I STILL SUCK!!!

In all honesty though, I enjoyed doing this again. Sure, I'm rusty and there's a whole lot that I need to brush up on, but I still thought that this was a fairly "OK" animation. Emphasis on "OK". It's passable... I guess...
While I do feel like I somehow improved on a lot of aspects with this animation, I still feel like a lot is missing, and I'm gonna find out through more practice and analyzation of other animations..

THANKS FOR WATCHING, SMASH THAT FOOKING LIKE BUTTON IF U WNT MORR MAPLE ANIMZ xD!!!!

Taking time off for learning and doing other forms of content has its benefits too, and its evident in how your techniques on other YouTube videos transition into animation. This coincidentally happened to me too when I went on hiatus in 2012 and starting animating again after my 1st year in film school lol.

For one, the sharpness and framing of your edits and shot selection have gotten better.
There's more emphasis and direction in the fighting choreo and combos. 0:37's slow-mo counter was pretty sick.
Your sound effects are different. Finally got rid of that abusive twirl sound THANK GOD LOL

Not too sure about 0:26. Realistically, the back of your character's head would be bigger if it's closer to the "camera" or viewer's first person POV. It was a nice attempt on switching up the perspective though.

0:54 was a bit of a jump in spacial continuity. Not sure if that was intentional, but it was a bit odd that he just suddenly appeared back at where they started again D:

Previously, from what I recall, you used to get a lot of CnC about stagnant, stiff movements in your style. There is much less of that now, unless for comedic effect. And it wouldn't be a Dan Derps fight scene without some comedic effect lol

The ending was just perfect. The commercial reference absolutely killed me XD

All of that said, I beg to differ. There definitely could be more changes and fine-tuning, but otherwise, this is quite the improvement from your past fight scenes. This is quite the improvement from your past fight scenes. Nicely done bruh :)
