    Feels kinda laggy, and like Ainn said the zooming in is messed up. Movieclips will scale based on the registration point. On the second one, that works for straight up zooming, but if you want to create the illusion of moving forward then you'll need the scale parallax. Maybe add a rotation one, too!

    i don't see how different this is from the common parallax script people use. zooming is still broken because it's not as simple as just "set this value to be a fraction of this other one", it's a fundamentally different issue going on here.

    i mean, if it was this simple i'd have accurate parallax ages ago, but that simply isn't the case. there's a reason none of the approaches so far are any accurate :)
