How did the other person ask her? Was it a public announcement that forced her hand to say yes? If so, it was a very common occurrence at my school for the girls to end up going with someone else and there may still be a possibility that she may change her mind. Though I wouldn't want to see you portrayed as the guy who stole the girl, it should be up to her who she decides to go with.
