Question: Ainn, How do you make your videos? Do you use Adobe Animate?
Answer: I can, but I still love to use Flash 8. ƒlash 8 forever! For some videos, sometimes I'll use Vegas Pro to remove obvious splices. What you see is the raw output by Swivel. No post-production-- not even for subtitles. At this point, I even use Flash to make text-based video announcements, which is something I used to use Vegas for.
Question: Are you ever going to continue Hyper Emerald X? When the next Super Anime Bros. X coming out? Where's Those Better Days? Are these projects cancelled, stuck in development hell or what's going on?
Answer: Hyper Emerald X is continued in 4K! It will utilize the 3D Sprite Rigs as part of production! Super Anime Bros. X is a very sporadic nod to anime and anime parodies such as Egoraptor's (don't give me a hot heat, let's all meet at) Girlchan In Paradise. To be frank, Super Anime Bros X is thoughtless enough to never run out of material, but goofy enough to warrant new episodes. It's not going to die anytime soon. Those Better Days on the other hand is in development hell. I wish it wasn't, but it has to be for the time being. The idea of this series is way too ambitious, and I'm forced to put it on the back-burner. The excellent news is, pose resources and the fight choreography (yes, that's right-- FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY) will no longer be a major problem thanks to the 3D Sprite Rigs. I'm more likely to turn it into a Film instead of a series when it finally rolls out. Those Better Days (from the start) was better suited as a short film, rather than an on-going series because it is supposed to be a full-length backstory to all of my characters. How they relate to each other, which characters know who and what they do on a day-to-day basis. It's far from a slice-of-life, but it will include elements from that genre to depict certain situations. It's short enough not to warrant a "saga", but the plotline is rich with events, history, personality and flare and definitely long enough to warrant a film.
Question: Why do you use that refresh icon-looking thing? Is it just a fancy alt code for your username?
Short Answer: This symbol ↻ means a lot to me. Years ago, I defined it as a symbol for "perpetual motion". That's a system that fuels itself infinitely In real life. It's physically impossible in our world, but in theory-- it's me and anyone else who fuels themselves with passion for their craft. Read all about the idea on Wikipedia if you need more context. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion
Long Answer: ♪ Ostep, Ψ/♆ Trident, Neӽus, ↻ Perpetual, ㊣ Omen.
Despite the fact the forum was wiped, I honor what these factions intended to be. I personally designed "↻" symbol to mean "perpetual motion". That's why the faction was called "Perpetual". It wasn't based on any other name, it was a statement. It is my symbol for anyone that fuels themselves with infinite energy, and produces never-ending results. ↻ spins clockwise, because it has the energy to do so. With each rotation ↻ powers itself up for another round, and so the infinite cycle continues.
This ↻ symbol represents passionate people, passionate groups and passion projects. The people are so passionate, and the projects are so wildly ambitious that they no longer depend on outside forces to achieve their goal. It does not mean they do not fail, it simply means that they do not stop. Even if the wheel slows down, or pauses, the flames of passion will guarantee that it always spin again. There is too much energy bottled into it to ever truly stop. To me, if said goals is never met, milestones are never passed along the way, or the project ends for good, it cannot count. ↻ is a symbol involving eternity, and only in death can one prove they've earned it. A great example would probably be Stan Lee. Once he got started, there is simply no stopping him. I personally designed it, then passed ownership to someone else. They abandoned the symbol altogether some years back, so I picked it back up and still use it to represent these things including myself.
