I wish we got to fulfill that small promise we made to play ultimate as soon as it came out. I wish you could have seen how terrifying my mega man has become. I miss the days when we would play smash 4 for hours, improving our skill one game at a time.

Wanted to write something for a while. Better late than never.
(1) Sai. It’s been a while! I wonder if you remembered me? Last we chatted was 13 years ago in 2009. We were playing Smash Bros Brawl online. And you were already pumping out some amazing art and sprites on BSBG, many of which have stood the test of time- and not just in my young, pre-drivers license teenage mind.

(2) It makes me happy to hear you continued making the art you loved, and sharing your gift with those in the community. Community: a big reason for me coming back after a decade, because of memorable people like you that made it feel special.

(3) You were one of those people I never forgot from my time in the community. In some ways, I wish I had come back just a little sooner, so I could reconnect after all that time that passed, to see how you grew. Not just as an artist but as a person.

Must be weird to reactivate an old account after having found out what happened years after it did. But I guess I also wont feel good not saying something about one of the few names I still remember from awe from the early MM days. Rest in peace Sai.

It's been a while since we've talked, and I regret not bugging you on Discord sooner. It's too late now, but I do want to say that you were one of my favorite people and the main reason why I started taking art seriously in the first place. You were a huge inspiration to me when I started out in like 2009/2010 and I don't think I ever got to tell you that because you'd be suuuuuper annoying about it lmao.
