Its ok. Not exactly worth your money at the moment, I'm sure somewhere out there you'll be able to find a sims3 bundle on sale with the a fair bit of DLC for the same price as 4 new. That way, you'll get probably 4x the content. Sims 4 also has the issue of not being seamless and a lot of UI quirks I'm not a fan of. For example, loading a new house will actually take you out of the game and to a loading screen before you can get back in, meanwhile on Sims3 the entire fucking t...

At the moment, gameplay-wise, no. However it does perform a lot better than The Sims 3 which goes down as a major plus in my book. As much as I wanted to play The Sims 3 it was just so terribly optimized I had to wait 30-60 minutes to load into a game with quite a bit of progression to it. My only gripe with The Sims 4 right now is how it feels like I'm playing an MMO game (knowing I'm trying to get away from that kind of gameplay) when the franchise is supposed to be about seamless,...

I will say however that given the game is built on an entirely new engine it's worth considering giving a try after several expansion packs roll out to the very least.

Alright I read through Trow's and Loofan's comments. I think I will wait for some reasonable DLC. I'm just a fan of the Sims and seeing 4 I was kinda turned away by the new additions. Such as how characters are created, house creations, and just the way the characters look.

Honestly I like the new character design. I don't like realism and tend to find it creepy when combined with how animated Sims can behave. Building houses is still a bit limited but I can see the direction they're headed with it. It's worth waiting to see how things work out after several expansion pack updates.
