You should start here to start learning about 2-D animation.
http://maplemation.com/threads/the-dumpster-post-your-tests-and-super-short-anims-here.31217/
While you're at it, for future reference, post your tests here. Why the Gallary of all places o.o.
Despite this being a "test", I'll drop CnC here.
-The alignment line is there for...aligning. Make sure all movements are on the line.
-Your alert sequence, or symbol, isn't aligned. Use the "Align to screen" for that in the symbol itself.
-
Double check that grammar. You seem capable of correcting it based on how you talk here.
- Arc your jumps and for the love of sprites, don't literally flip it in the tween, Transition the flip using poses like ladder_0 or swingOF_1.
Ex: http://www.fastswf.com/1VFrw8Q While there's lack of anticipation, you can see (sorta) how jumps work. The 2nd small jump, I turn around, so yeh.
-
Yeah, looks way too off. Also, may want to skew AND align the feet to transition poses better.
Well, there are my thoughts. If you need to, go watch other Maple Anims for reference of what to do. This is all over the place. Derek's tuts and experimenting more in Flash is the best way to learn the interface of it.
