Holding Weapons

How do I make my Maple Character hold weapons and have the hilt or shaft inside the hand of the character? What I have been doing is making a big hole in the hilt where I would be holding the weapon but as I have come to learn that isn't a very efficient way to do it.

What you can do is import your character into an image editing program like Paint.net (it can be downloaded for free, if you don't have it already), depending on what pose you're using. Highlight the hand with any selection tool you see fit, then Copy it (Ctrl+C). Then in Flash, you should make another layer, and Paste the hand in (Ctrl+V). And once you place the pasted hand over the original one on your pose in Flash, create a third layer for your weapon and place it in between the pasted hand and the original pose.

Oh and make sure this whole process takes place inside a Symbol, so that it's all condensed into 1 manipulable object in Flash.
