Centuries ago, Aldawen 'The Emerald Lord' ruled over his great empire, The Emerald Legion, with a just and fair rule, sadly, during this time 'fair and just' was a death sentence...

In this time, the land was untamed and savage. Raiders and bandits roamed freely, destroying and looting everything they could get their filthy hands on...forever desiring the deepest riches held within the castle.
The war between the legion and the outsiders was long and bitter, relaying more on attrition and wit rather then blade or bow...but tragically, the unknown downfall, was the greed of man...

Betrayed by his own people through the promise of loot and glory, after a hard fought battle, they cornered the lord in his own vault, where all the relics of the past lords resided...it was here...Aldawen met his end...with a swift hammer strike to his chest, crushing his armour and embedding into his flesh... all Aldawen heard were the breaking of his bones, and the laughter of the betrayers...

Alone in the dark vaults...on the cusp of death...a faint light caught Aldawen's eye, it was the amulet of the previous Emerald Lord, left to Aldawen on his death bed, his final words seemed to echo around the empty vault...

"Hollow yet together...with the empire by your side, press on in the empire's name!"

With his anger re-ignited by the memory of betrayal, he crushed the amulet, as his last breath faded away from his body, the soft light absorbed him...

Centuries past, many empires rose and fell, yet the vault remained hidden, grown over in moss and ivy. Until very recently where the vault alone had been found in an previously unexplored area of the Minar forest by 3 explorers.

When others arrived at the scene, the 3 were found unconscious, their weapons weren't even drawn. The wounds on the body appeared to be blunt and heavy hits...almost like hammer blows.

They found the vault, it was cracked wide open and inside was what appeared to be a makeshift throne of pure emerald crystals and on the wall...a message written in the same crystal...

"Hollow and abandoned, with my will alone, I will reclaim what I AM!"
