Leala & Omit
Fallible Vagrants of Muck & Thunder

Both of these characters are being worked on semi-actively and will be the two I am most likely to animate with, often together. All forms of criticism and thoughts are welcome, as writing is not a skill I'm experienced in.
I am more likely to actively update this spreadsheet: here, than I am to update this thread with constant details, so be sure to check it out in a few weeks!

Looking for their spritesheets? Sucks to suck!
Demo? Fat chance!
Currently, neither have more than one or two custom poses + defaults available. I will include them here & the public sprite sheet thread once they have been further developed!

  • Very analytical due to surviving in the wild for years on end & being privately educated. Does not fall for taunts easily.
  • Intimidating by appearance, rather gentle & patient at his core.
  • Introverted, prefers keeping to himself if given the choice. Can often be found spending his free time in libraries, or quiet lounges if he's not physically training.
  • Confident in his abilities, but wary of his limits, both sides of his heritage taking shape to form his calculated pride.
  • Fussy with his hygiene, he takes his time to clean himself up & look presentable.
  • Enjoys mental challenges. While not arrogant in his intelligence, he holds himself to a high standard with pattern recognition & tactical thinking.

"Strengths"

"Strengths"
"Strengths"

  • Incredible durability, tenacity, & strength due to his demonic heritage increasing the density of his muscle, & durability of his skin. Not to chalk his abilities up to birth, he works out and trains intensely on the daily to further this strength.
The nature of his physique means blunt & force based damage will be next to harmless around him, but sharp edges will be much more difficult for him to manage.

  • Also a birthright, he's blessed with a minor degree of regeneration of minor wounds & illness, and has similarly grown a degree of pain suppression.
  • As previously mentioned, he's analytical as hell. He'll be quick to pick up on repeated tactics and will take pleasure in trying to throw wrenches into well thought out plans.
  • Anti-magic capabilties. He lacks the training to fully utilize these abilities, but that doesn't stop his flesh & blood from rendering most spells weakened, if not useless, against him.
  • Not to be confused with the above, fire & similar sources of heat deal little to no damage against him naturally, granting full immunity to the effects of all but the strongest of hellfire.

"Weaknesses"
"Weaknesses"
"Weaknesses"

  • Ice, water and other cold elements do extra well against him, as his homeland is not akin to the winter elements.
  • Sharp edges, like spears, swords, daggers, even polished stone will deal much more effective damage to him in comparison to other options.
  • With no effective medium~long range options, he's forced to rely on gap closing or stone throwing, and while his strength means his target will likely be shattered if struck, his aim is far from true.
  • He lacks true combat experience & weapon training, he's carried by his strengths so to speak, and will find himself quickly outmatched against a skilled martial artist.
  • Finally, while his sheer muscle mass can propel him at surprising speeds, he often physically struggles to keep up with his reflexes and intentions. His flexibility and dexterity leaves enough to be desired that it can be exploited often.

Virgin to be continued, or Chad too lazy to finish?
Neither! I've already written his backstory, but it's old, VERY angsty, and even more unpolished!
Until I've rewritten it, you can check out the full list of my Character Biographies to see the archived sheet, which still contains the old backstory!

5'0" with long silver hair that flows down to her thighs.
Bright green eyes are clear & surprisingly expressive, with a bright white pupil that glows faintly.
She has a small pear-shaped figure that looks & feels perfectly human to the touch aside from her legs up to just above the knees, which is very obviously reinforced metal externally.
She tends to wear the same pants under most circumstances, as it's difficult for her to get custom-made leggings that fit her physical augmentations.
Used to wear gruff leather jackets and similarly dark clothing, has since preferred to wear more casual attire.

  • Overly curious, values knowledge & information very highly
  • Developing a strong sense of morality & justice
  • Very calm & collected in combat, only becoming frustrated over her own indecisiveness
  • Bubbly and cheerful around those she trusts, quiet, respectful, yet curious around those she does not
  • Obviously, rather confused about emotions and how to act on them. Often leads to frustration and embarrassment, confusing her even further.
  • A peacemaker at heart, she knows not how to handle it.
  • Conflicting personality traits caused by being created in the image of a mad scientist's young daughter, then being suppressed by the purpose of serving as a living weapon for the first half of her consciousness.
  • Missing large amounts of life experience for her mental age, oftentimes childish in nature as a result. She enjoys exploration greatly, & finds pleasure in soft & tactile things. Similarly, she tends to hate ghosts and creepy crawly things like bugs.
  • Despite the inner child's innocence, she finds fun in sparring & physical training, albeit she does not have the ability to engage in swimming past her knees without damaging her internals.

"Strengths"
"Strengths"
"Strengths"
"Strengths"

  • Her body is composed of an incredibly durable alloy, the front of her legs especially, which is an exposed metal sticking a few centimeters past her skin.
This material is electrically conductive, allowing her to directly siphon electricity and other forms of energy into her body.

  • Can utilize this energy created by her body to grant small feats, such as hardening her skin greatly, increasing her strength, perception, etc., and granting her bursts of speed so fast it becomes nearly impossible to track her with the normal human eye.
  • She can also lace her attacks with strong bursts of lightning, and expel this energy to create uncontrollable medium distance electrical attacks.
  • Well-versed in kickboxing & similar martial arts.
  • Her body is primarily but not entirely mechanical, which gives her unique methods of recovery and stamina regeneration. Sunlight, UV lights & electricity will directly increase her tenacity, but she can also ingest food, rest, and meditate as most people can for similar results.
This dual method of retaining energy allows her body to filter extra resources into raw electricity to grant her general increases to her physical attributes at a basic level.

  • Has incredibly enhanced vision. Combined with her calm temperament during combat and she makes for a tough cookie to fluster, & an excellent marksman.
  • Alongside all of this, her mind is constantly relaying information as her instincts cause her to fall back into monitoring her environment quietly. As a result, minor details are hard for her to forget in dire scenarios.

"Weaknesses"
"Weaknesses"
"Weaknesses"
"Weaknesses"

  • Cannot swim, as already commented on, water will likely cause damage to her internal circuitry. It certainly will not kill her on its own but will induce incredible amounts of vertigo, paralysis, & mental fatigue near instantly.
  • While not entirely reliant on electrical energy, without a reliable supply of solar energy or similar, she'll eventually be rendered rather vulnerable as she slows down to that of basically a reinforced human being trained to kick harder than most.
  • Does not like taking risks. While she has come to trust Omit's judgment & predictions, her AI reasoning being purely logistical can be exploited by experienced fighters.
  • Similarly, she has very little real combat experience. Trained in assassination & practical arts, she's yet to legitimately use them more than a handful of times.

"Backstory"

"Backstory"

Born in the laboratory of a slowly deteriorating scientist, "Phi", was an Android designed for combat assassination. The scientist had wronged the lands by attempting to mine an incredibly exotic mineral from beneath the surface of the earth. His endless quests for minerals lead to ruined forests and permanent damage to the ecosystem. Thus, the government was quick to set a bounty for his head and his mining machines. Infuriated by his progress being halted, he set out to create a machine so sophisticated, that it could learn and adapt on its own near instantaneously, and have it hunt down these mercenaries. Phi was designed as a loyal, self-learning AI, with the ability to absorb and utilize most electricity-based energies, which she eventually learned to course through her metallic veins, turning her into a human stun gun.
The scientist had only worsened his scenario, however, as Phi was designed after his lost daughter, Fiora. Fiora had grown up with the man and was one of the few people he truly valued, but that reality crashed and burned, after the wife was quick to divorce, and leave him, his experimentations and findings caused her to become afraid for her daughter's safety. Having lost the only people in the world the scientist cared for, he unconsciously made Phi help fill the ever-growing sadness in his mind. This backfired and caused him to lash out. The scientist became increasingly depressed, Phi's presence had aided him well in stopping the mercenaries, as she had gathered many of their heads, but the only thing he could see in her was his daughter, and how he failed to raise her properly. Madness ensued, as the scientist's patience waned. He lashed out at her, kicking her to the ground, and beating her ruthlessly until he passed out, his drunken rage ending as quickly as it had started.
Phi did not understand, she had fulfilled her purpose, did everything he asked, and yet she was still punished. The AI swirled, recapping and reconstructing every bit of knowledge she had gathered in the few months she had been alive, searching desperately for an answer, finding very little. In a desperate attempt for an answer, Phi searched the laboratory, until she found an old broken photograph of the scientist when he was with his family, smiling brighter than she had ever seen before. His happiness in the photograph was evident, yet she knew not why. The concept of emotions was feeble, and lead only to destruction, as her creator had proved, yet the existence of something that could make the scientist so happy baffled her. She could never get him to smile like that.
Something had changed in Phi's AI, something new clicked in her head, new thoughts, and ideas. The prospect of new information, that she might never be able to obtain lured her forwards. She thought long and hard, every gear and impulse grinding away in her mind. Her AI could not comprehend emotions. It simply couldn't, but why? What was stopping her from being able to experience them? Phi spent that night alone, in the forest just outside the laboratory, an intense burning filled her mind.
When she awoke, something was different. Every feeling she had seemed tainted, altered, somehow. It frustrated her that she didn't know what changed... it frustrated her.
The AI had caused something to change. It had adapted to the longing she felt and had found a way to recreate emotion. Phi was excited. She was excited that she felt excited. She raced back to the scientist to proclaim the news, and yet, the man grew afraid of the news. He declared then and there that Phi was no longer fit to walk the land of mankind, that it was his duty to stop her. He had lost his grip on reality, his eyes were bleak and tainted, and his expression was painted a fearful interest. She could feel something well up in her chest, a cold grip at her throat, at her mind. Fear.
Her creator lashed out, with a small pocket knife in hand, intent to disassemble, worse yet, destroy her. She ran away, conflicted, everything felt different, every little thing she saw, her AI found a reaction for. She no longer felt still, always churning, her mind always warping a reaction out of her every sight, smell, & sound. Even these thoughts frightened her.
Phi had enough.
Emotions were too much for her to understand. She couldn't know how the children in the villages were so happy, always smiling, yet everything she looked at brought out a new feeling that confused and changed her. She curled up into a ball, collapsing onto the unknown forest ground. She thought she should have let her master dispose of her, that she would have made the right choice, to let him do as he wished. She was his creation after all, who was she to dictate fate?
Something called her awake. Her eyes flicked open, and scanned around, coming up with little signatures in the heavily wooded forest.
There it was again, something calling her, a distant whisper, asking for something. She couldn't hear it, but she felt something tickling at the back of her mind, something speaking to her. The voice continued for hours on end.
It sounded like how she talked with the scientist, almost as if she was hearing her thoughts echoing in her mind. Phi would spend days hearing the voice, with little knowledge on it, until the thought dawned on her that she was listening to her own AI responding to and comprehending information she was thinking about. Somehow, her own AI had created a separate consciousness, almost as if she had a split personality only she could hear.
She spent a long time in the forest on her own in an attempt to relearn how to control the AI. Days wandering with little to no activity, observing and watching nature, learning the structure of the earth. She no longer felt bound to return to the laboratory, the invisible chains loosening with each passing day. She wandered, following little more than the beat of her own heart, and the path her eyes drew in the sand. She was free, but now what?
