Honing my animation skills right now, and I think this turned out pretty good, even though they're LSWi sprites. The next animation will probably be the continuation of that one, or a start of a sprite anime I had ideas of starting. But check it out:

There's nothing wrong with LSWI, animating DragonBall is always a treat.

I like the background. Animated bg's are always fun, although it looks like it's moving very swiftly and awkwardly...but rivers and waterfalls move fast so...
I also understand that you wanted to have Gohan in the scene as well as provide a clear view to the wonderful scenery, but it's kinda awkward when Gohan takes up literally 5% of the screen while the BG takes up the rest ( barely noticed him!). I could say the same about the text, kinda distracts us from the fact that Gohan is there.

The fight is kinda awkward as well, but since you're still honing your style I won't delve too deep into that one. That backflip though...VERY awkward....It's really slow and shows clear use of motion tweens. If it was faster, it would probably look a bit better..but it didn't. Also, try to keep your fight on screen for as long as you can drag it out, if not on screen then maybe centered and in focus. The ending was also a bit awkward where Buu kicks Gohan off the side of the canvas and the camera fades out. I thought the video was over, until it Ifaded back in to show Gohan supposedly weakened and battered. Your use of continuity is a bit off; all of that could've been shown in a set of sequences that maybe would've made it look better imo.

Other than the things I pointed out, you're off to a good start. Your camming is basic and not too bad, but you could use a bit more practice. Keep it up and take notes of little things. I recommend watching some LSW sprite fights online to get a better reference on how the fights work. ( whether or not you stick with LSW ). Looking forward to your future stuff!

I don't really animate DBZ, or know the style of it much, so I'm sorry if my critique contradicts the idea of it, but I would suggest getting some visual effects of sorts for some actions. Some actions would really look better with em. Spriters Resource around random games and I think even Bannedstory ones would help. Sort of.
Try not to repeat actions for too long. It'll look like it drags. 0:30 started looking like copy and paste, and so did 0:46. Even the slightest variation of sprite poses could help make it look less like copy and paste.
There's the rest like DJ said, but these are some of my 2 cents. Hope to see improvement in the future~

Thank you man! I will try to make the background a bit slower and smoother, and the flips I will definitely work on. Gonna try to watch some LSW sprite fight and improve from there. My next animation will be significantly better for sure!

True, true. I'll work on that too, i'll have to start mixing it various poses also! Visual effects will work out because I have been working with After Effects for a good time. I'll focus on improving , thank you!

Your movements are super slow and choppy. I understand that DBZ is sort of like that in actuality, but Toei is definitely not the industry standard when it comes to fights. Try resizing between attacks minimally to transition poses instead of large ones after the matter of fact. When Gohan lands I wasn't sure if he got hurt or if that was a REALLY bad tween. The fade also abruptly comes in but with literally no scene transition, not even to a notably different place on the map, try not to get too lazy when recycling assets, it makes for a lack of polish.

Repetitive choreography and sound effects are never good, even if it's to maintain pacing. Although you could argue there are similar fight scenes in DBZ itself, the anime always relied on different dynamics to avoid emphasizing the repetition such as editing, changes in angles, combo variety, etc.

If you're struggling with avoiding this in sound effects too, remember you can take elements from other sounds and overlay them too, or change the pitch and reverb for different situations.

Overall, it's a good effort in stylistic approach and visual setting, but you'll need to do a lot of polishing for the fight itself. There's no sense of suspense for the "To Be Continued" if we don't have any character establishment and emotional tone either.

Hope this is helpful. Keep improving!

thank you for the feedback! :D

Thank you! I'm going to practice more and put some more variety in the sprite animations I do.

You can also quote many posts at one time to avoid multiposting. (Just hit reply under each post you want to quote. You'll get each quote in the Reply Box where you can reply to multiple at once. )
Too much multiposting may get you warned or possibly banned.
    Just a heads up :)

Very sloppish, things are looping like combos and it looks lazy
Try skewing and resizing when you switch from pose to pose,it looks ALOT better

When i said things seems lazy (done without effort i meant 0:30 and 0:45, even the sounds are looping)
Also at 0:45 kid buu (?) was sliding on one leg and kicking with the other? It makes no sense even for dragonball physics, and gohan just slides back in one pose(?)
if he dodges the kicks animate him doing so
If he get hit by the kicks animate him taking damage or some kind of impact

Keep improving yourself and remember quality>quantity so don't loop stuff if not needed

I know, laziness kicked in. I need to start spending more time on things because sometimes I rush stuff for no reason. I'm spending time on this new animation now though, so it will be a lot better with improvement. Just like you said, quality over quantity and I believe that is my problem, thank you.
