Don't mind what your friend said about "fan loyalty". There are numerous reasons why your subscribers would watch/not watch your new videos, one being that YouTube's system compared to several years ago is broken AF. It's harder than ever to get views without hooking on to current trends, consistently pumping out content to stay relevant in people's subscription boxes, and getting 3rd party promotions or sponsorship - majority of your subs won't even know you've uploaded a new video unless they're manually constantly checking your channel or social media for it.

Every video has the potential to hit or miss in views, depending on all kinds of circumstances. Just keep doing your best to create content and learn the trends, and know there are people out there that enjoy your stuff (Y)
