Need some coloring advice/tutorials

Ive been trying to fix the skin coloring for hours but i cant get it to look good, does anyone know of any good skin coloring advice or turorials i could use

(Cnc on anything else about the drawing is welcome too)

I think the overall colours and shading on the arms look pretty alright (I'm no expert tho x'D), but I think the shading on the face could have a little more detail, like maybe lip/nose shading and maybe some cheek blush. I found this shading guide:

And I get the hair is covering, like, 35% of his face, but it looks like one of those anime menacing effects xD:
