I have to agree x'D.. These feel more like Facebook/Twitter statuses/posts than forum topics that can bring about actual discussion. You can keep your posts like these to the profile statuses on Maplemation, and they'll still add to your message/post count!
No need to roleplay in your original post to explain yourself; just whatever's on your mind, just spew it out into something coherent for someone to comment/talk about it~

On topic:
Do you mean a channel intro video? Those are great! I've never made one, 'cause I have a lot of random content, idk how to summarize, but it'll be good to introduce yourself, what you use, and introduce your characters/series! All that jazz~
