Alright, guys, it's time for your good buddy Shulkle to help out with all sorts of random questions! It could be forum related, resources, general tips, yada, yada, and I will answer them to the best of my ability, not as staff member or anything, but as some random member passing by! So, let's get started by answering some basic ones!

"Dear Shulkle, how do I add images to these posts?"
User image
If you're using imgur, you gotta open that image in a new tab, and copy that url.

"Dear Shulkel, how do I put a signature in my signature?"
http://maplemation.com/threads/flash-signature-tutorial-as2-by-kim.30135/
And then click on your icon on the top right, click signature, and then do what Porochu said in his own Answered Questions.

"Dear Shuckle, how do I create my character/OC?"
http://maplestory.design/
Be sure to support these guys, they're pretty cool. I'd say the interface is pretty to understand, but hey, ask if it doesn't.

"Dear Sluckle, someone is bullying me. :c"
User image See this button? Use it. If you're talking about in the Maplemation Discord, it's actually pretty simple.
Step 1:

Disclaimer: It doesn't have to be Neil. In fact, you can DM any other staff member. Don't spam this man alone, he'll kick my ass, probably.
Step 2:

Step 3:

And there you go! That's all there is to it. We'll start talking to you about it and act accordingly.

"Dear Slackle, how do I animate in Fireworks?"
Pretty simple actually.
User image

I'm just kidding, here! http://maplemation.com/threads/gif-aznmagixs-fireworks-tutorial-collection.33568/
Highly recommend checking this out. It's a good overview of what Fireworks is, and as a GiF animator and AT member, I highly recommend trying it out.
"Dear Shruggle, how can I learn to do rigs?"

Well, there's a number of things to look into. For starters, I'm sure you've heard of this tutorial, and I think it's a good place to start. it's a little outdated, but for the heck of it, I'll tell you the simple style of rigging that I do. Keep in mind, this isn't the right way, but it's a place to start.
Before we start anything, think about what makes a "rig", and I'll tell you right now, it's hectic. From the top of my mind, there are the:
- Head
-- Eyes
--- Eyelashes
--- Pupils
-- Front Hair
---Individual Hair Strands
--- Back Hair
- Body
-- Upper body
---Chest
---- Arms
----- Hands
----- Elbows
-- Lower body
--- Feet
--- Legs

Looks a little weird right? Well, guess what, there are others who go as far as animating each muscle individually like Sorya or other MMV animators. That is way out of my league, and props to them for rigging all that. (I mean really, look at this Everyone's got a different style of rigging, like some group the Lower Body and Chest together when it comes to rigging, and then individually rig the Arms and Head, and then there are those who prefer to rig the lower body individually along with the upper body individually, And then some prefer to animate the face completely while not touching the rest of the body. Pick out which parts of the body you want to animate, and then move on. For what I'm doing, I'll do something simple like only animating the arm and head, while leaving the rest of the body alone.
For starters, remember Maplestory.design? When you hover over your character, you can export it as a layered sprite sheet, where you can have separate pieces of your body, arm, legs, and so forth. From there, you can put the clothes and parts of the body together, like putting the sleeve of a shirt in an arm,
User image

then, you fix up the rest of your body in your clothes,
"like this"
User image

And then finally, you got your head. I don't feel the need to screenshot that, because, well, that's all that's left. However, you should save the back hair individually from the rest of your head. Save these images as they are, as a .png file.
Now, assuming you're in Flash, layer these .png images that you saved accordingly, and you should be left
"with something like this"
User image

Congratulations! You have a proper rig set up in Flash. now you gotta animate the hand and head individually. Slap the pivot point where your arm would connect with the body and the head where it connects to the neck. Once done, you can start animating each part of the body individually.
What's that? Sounds tedious and time-consuming? That's because it is. but y'know what, it's worth it if the rigging is done smoothly and correctly. Go take a look at Miles, Kayas, Drew, or Aquila. Maybe even some MMV (Maplestory Music Video) animators like Sorya, himawari, C&Y, or Kaffiene. They all have different rigging styles, and it's important to note which parts of the body they chose to animate individually. I only chose to animate 2 different body parts. If you want to animate every body part, you have to save each body part individually, layer it all correctly in Flash, separately animate each body part, make sure you follow human anatomy and not break any bones, and make sure it all moves smoothly. This is when nested symbols come in handy, and I'll just leave this here for ya.

"Dear Shulcle, which program is best to edit sprites such as poses and background?"
For the free section, I like Paint.net because of it’s the simplicity of an interface, and to be honest, I still use it. Using the rectangle selection tool, while holding ctrl, you can cut out parts from the poses, and start putting them together. You can also save palette colors by adding a color swatch through the color window panel. Now if you’re paying, or er, getting it through other means, Asesprite, Photoshop, and Fireworks are some pretty good options, with the most popular being Asesprite. They can be a bit rough to work with at times, however, there is a number of tutorials online to help you get started. Just search it up on google and it’ll work out.

"Dear Shuluckele, does the follow button have a purpose?"
From experience, no, I don’t think so. For the past 2 years I’ve been here, I only really saw it as a “this guy thinks A is a cool, inspirational guy, and I wanna be like then, and this B guy who is following me thinks I’m cool.” On the right side where you see who’s online, you get to see an icon if the person you are following is online. Yeah that’s about it.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________
"Dear Sulkle, Red or Blue?"
Cyan Blue.

"Dear Slupple, how are babies made?"
See, there are these 2 people of opposite gender, and then they love each other, and then they love each other so much, a baby just falls from the sky because a stork failed their delivery.

"Dear Shullklle, how do you make a really good dad joke?"
It’s simple actually. See, they’re all about thinking about each word individually and thinking out of the ordinary. You also gotta make sure your joke is actually semi-obvious and will make others sick. Here, I got one. I was told to put my dog out this morning. Why? He was on fire.

"Dear Shackle, does Maplemation praise pancakes because it's served with Maple syrup?"
Have you met the one and only Pancake god? He has Maple syrup on him. Don’t believe me? Search up pancake god and you’ll see syrup in each and every one of em.

"Dear Luckle, what's the best place to share and view memes of all kinds?"
We’ve got a #meme-dump on Maplemation, so that’s a thing. To be honest, you can probably scroll up the #voice-chat to Maplemation and you’ll see a lot of them there too.
Orrrr you can just like, hang around random people from twitter, google the most absurd things, like a “guy eats shoe sandwich while riding a bicycle” and find stuff there.

"Dear Suckle, how do I pass my modern physics final?"
Finals, in general, are supposed to be a measurement of how much you learned through the class. I’ll run down a small checklist that I made through personal experience with High school and College finals
- Did you do well throughout the class?
- Do you remember what was taught through the class days?
- Did you do the homework, and if there was no homework, did you read the stuff that was taught in class again after class?
- Do you generally avoid cramming for exams?
- Is your note-taking worth looking back at again?
Well, if you answered yes to 2/5 questions, congratulations, you’ll get by.
Now in terms of Physics, well I hope you memorized the purpose of those equations because the equation sheet they hand you does not mean jack and in the end, you’ll probably have to stuff 2 equations in another equation to get the answer. Good luck!

"Dear Shulkie, why do it be like that sometimes?"
That's just life buddy. They do it be like that like people do the thing where they do something big like how they would do some other thing of which is to be do anoth- ok I don't know I'm sorry.

"Dear Shrewkle, If 2 mind readers read each other's minds whose mind are they really reading?"
If a mind reader tries to read a mind reader's mind, while the other mind reader is doing the same, they go into an endless loop staring at one another until the world explodes, like trying to divide by 0. Stand up, grab a mirror, and point it towards the Bathroom mirror. Now keep following the path of reflections. Keep going. You'll get there. Lemme know when you get to the very dead center. I'll see you next year. c:

"Dear, "nevermind, you can leave it like that, I don't like you. I hate you", You are super wack. Do you agree? And why?"
Now see wack means "Bad, inferior" as an adjective while its noun definition is "a crazy or eccentric person." Now, looking back at the thread, do I come off this way? I'll leave that answer to whomever read this.

Alright guys, ask away!
