New Years Resolutions!

With 2017 right around the corner, I've been reflecting on my past year and thinking of some new goals! For me, I graduated from college (and I'll probably never even fathom grad school LOL) and finished a new episode of my Maple series after 3 years of waiting! I learned that it's time for me to step into the "real world", but I still love animating with Maple sprites with a passion -- my goal is to get an easy-going, first job related to film/video production and animate in my free time. Since I will be in a new environment, I need to be resolved to stay open-minded, willing to learn, and positive! I'm also hoping that 2017 will be the year I can get the ball rolling on this comic series I've been wanting to start for the past three years. xD I also really wanna learn how to fluently speak Korean, Japanese, and Chinese (Korean first though, so I can speak with my relatives xD).

What are some of your guys' resolutions? Animating, life, etc. ^_^

As for me, I feel like I want to take my animating passion to the next level in some way. Not necessarily moving away from MS animating, persay, but learn some other form of animating media. Project Exodus has been a great start for me in that kind of sense, and I'd love to develop further in that area somehow.

Another resolution would be, similar to my first point, use my animating passion to a much higher potential, and even in a beneficial manner. I haven't really gotten to use it in ways that could help me in life, but also like my first point, I've already experienced a taste of what I'm aiming for, thanks to a commission I took Ryonari up on. I aim to go beyond that, and work for more prestigious purposes, like Team Redux (AnimationRewind), or even DB (though that might sound like an unrealistic far-fetched thought, this post in general is nothing more than me thinking out loud). But who knows? It may or may not happen, depending on my luck, but who am I to not hope and dream?

And on top of that, my third resolution would be to finally take a plane and see @Kaffeine for the first time <3

(1) Join the Sprite Team.
(2) Write at least twelve news team articles.
(3) Finish my new spritesheet
(4) Win an animation MBR.
(5) Become "Rad".

I'll add more as I think of them! It would be cool if we all kinda keep track of these and check them off as they get completed.

in terms of moderating mm i'd really like to:
1) become more active in the discord
2) finish like one maple anim maybe
3) try to lead some really cool video game events and bring the community together more

I always try to improve, so I've never really bothered with new years resolutions. But I should work on being less sensitive (especially in this community) and take things less seriously. I also definitely want to animate more and improve my animations. I want to get to know more people and make more friends (as always, honestly, what else is new). And I want to do better in school! (Again, what else is new?)
Thing is, these don't have a deadline or something like that, so call them resolutions if you want. They're not specific to the new year, lol.

1) Actually get an A in my g-e classes.
2) Attempt to not suck when applying to the GIF AT Team.
3) Maybe learn a language.

1. NEEDA FIND PART-TIME JOB FOR $$ (need commissions T_T)
2. More Anims & Arts! and achieve the goals!
3. Learn Japanese (despite speaking chinese, english and malay now. lol.)

1. College next year (first year) . Looking forward actually :)

2. I'll be animating more non-maple stuff for Redux / AnimationRewind. Of course! Will still animate maple for Omen! Probably more skits.

3. Going to finish up purchasing my gaming computer parts and start building!

4. Continuing doing part-time jobs during weekend (every week once I start going to college)

5. Looking forward to learn more about life and stuff. Pretty much something about being independant.

3) Downgrading from 8.1 to 7 with an usb + fix the cd feedback route.
2) Pass the mid/end-terms with B / A
3) Apply for literraly any fucking faction
4)Get to #6 pilot on BF4 and #11 on BF1

Graduate from my college education :D
Finish a 3D short film.
Run an animation show, hopefully!

Maybe start a small/grand Maple project with some people if I find them :D

Strangle @Drew with a string of noddle.
Disturb @Peace's peace (HUE)
Choke @Aranimation with a fish and make @Kaneko watch!
Start a snail race in MM~
Start exercising! Run for miles like @Miles (HUE)
Make Charlotte talk as much as @Aquila
Start a coup deta in Omen and Horizon~

I also want to become alot more organized and stop getting distracted and procrastinate with things.

My new years resolution:
Not getting my balls busted and having to go to surgery and use all of my money that I had saved up on that so that I am broke for the entirety of summer.

(2016 was pretty shitty for me).

1) Become more productive!
2) Helping family by earning money by working for school etc!
3) Runs a studio with friends and make animations and games!
4) Making sensei @StayFrosty prooud ❤❤❤
5) Getting better than @Seth5443 and eats @Aranimation more!
6) makes everyone happy
7) Become more helpfull than being useless

Love the enthusiasm guys. Let's seriously try to make 2017 the best it can be. 2016 admittedly hasn't been a good year for humanity in general (for many many apparent reasons).

I've personally went through a mixed bag of productivity and setbacks. I acquired many new skills, learned a lot from an amazing film school environment, and made tons of new friends...but at the same time, I committed too much to work that I didn't particularly enjoy or benefit from, barely having time for my own content or activity on MM the past semester. And when the election came around, along with a sheering number of big names and celebs passing away, everyone around me for a while just became toxic and depressing AF to talk to. Hopefully, the amount of tragedy and adversity we've all endured will remind us to push for better goals and happier times in the future.


My detailed resolutions (should you care to read them):

• Become far more efficient and productive in all aspects of my life, including finding a healthier balance among different hobbies, work, and leisure.

• Get out of my current creative block and actually finish Soldiers of Scania or at least release the first episode. So many years and changes to the series have gone by; it's gotten to the point where I'll feel accomplished just getting it done after 6 years of development hell D:

• Acquire 5 new skills that'll be useful in the long run
  
• Finish one new video or project every 2-3 weeks
  
• Try out (or revive) 3 new hobbies

Coincidentally, 2017 is supposed to be the Chinese Year of the Rooster, which I read somewhere suggests the dawn of change, triumph, and success through hard work and patience. So let's make it count!

• Be healthy ( I was hospitalized twice this last year... ;w; )
  
• Better Myself as a Sony Vegas animator
  
• Potentially learn how to use Flash or AE
  
• Become more social to this community
  
• To be able to balance my work life and animating life more properly (being able to animate more and not be stuck in hiatus due to working so much...)
  
• Visit my guy more this year <3 (LDR sometimes really sucks)
